Nah I let my wife win arguments. I was given some good wedding day advice. When a guy gets married, he can choose to be right, or be happy. I prefer happy.
No doubt. And the same principle usually applies in those debates.....cannot argue with irrational.

Fair points, but if the Cavs had hit #1 a few years earlier they have AD instead of Bennett.

Truth be told, I think the LA could come out of this OK, but they might not. Cavs actually did go to the Finals 4 times and won once and their FO is ripped constantly. And they don't have being in LA to lure FAs.

Cavs came out of it better than fine. But my point is that it wasn't because of their drafting. And Wiggy is trying to make fun of the Lakers for poor drafting and also saying Cleveland would never have made those mistakes. When the reality is that Cleveland didn't draft any better than the LAKers did.

The Lakers haven't drafted well in the lottery. But they have a great chance to end up better then fine also. Because they signed LeBron in free agency and might be able to get even more next summer.

Honestly, it isn't Cleveland's FO that gets ripped a step much as it is Gilbert. Because it looks pretty obvious to me that LeBron didn't trust him when he resigned. He resigned because he wanted to win a title for the Cleveland fans and he did it in spite of Gilbert.

David Griffin did an excellent job though.

No problem at all. This is what happens on the internet in these forums. Make a comment and it might get refuted with logic, facts or reason. You cannot answer my question nor refute my comment. No reason for a Yosemite sam-like meltdown.
Listen, I understand this is likely the most attention you've received from a female...

Well, probably ever.

But, you are just some schmo on the internet, just like the rest of us.

That Shit doesn't work on me.

You can live forever or drop dead right here, right now today and it wouldn't make me a bit of difference.

Just like your opinions.

i hope him and Kyrie go to NY

mostly just too see how those 2 would matchup--- crazy Kyrie and cupcake Durant........they would be quite the pair.....both so talented- unimaginably talented- but both pretty crazy-

having them both in NY under the spot light would be interesting....as long as Davis did not go there too.

Id love to see Kyrie and Durant lose their shit at eachother.
Can't say I've followed him as closely, but I don't think Durant is on Kyrie's level of cray cray.

Agreed.....but his fake guy persona has actual fans or even some in the media thinking he's better than Kevin Love.

We went over this. Totally different players. As you said, switch Love and Green to the other's team and you make both teams worse. Can't really say who's better overall, depends on team need.

Have to say I've seen the debate and it seems like he has refuted comments with facts and reason. you want to see posters here who get bent out of shape when someone disagrees with them, wiggy does not seem to be the one I'd call out.

Admittedly, I haven't been here more than 2-3 weeks.

You don't know him but very well. LOL.

But also, when the first line of every post is something like "you don't have a fucking clue"

Then you got a problem interacting with people. It isn't the facts people tend to have problems with. It is the way he talks to people, the act that he NEVER admits when he is wrong and that he will go to extraordinary lengths to avoid doing so.

And he tends to be wrong a lot because of his biased takes.

agree with everything but those last 2 points. If Gilbert didn't show Lebron the first time and in their meetings in summer of 2010 he would spend whatever it took to win, no way he comes back.

I've heard many say Griffin did an excellent job, including Cavs' fans who rip Gilbert (which is odd as he won a title here). I get you aren't here and are probably going by what you hear, but what did Griffin really do to help win our title?

Chris Grant cleared the cap room and draft picks to make a run at Lebron and trade for Love (Mozgov, JR and shump). Grant, with Gilbert's permission to spend, was the one who took on Baron Davis' deal aong with the pick used to acquire Kyrie.

The players the cavs are ripped for overpaying (though I think TT's deal is fine)? All signed by Griffin.

don't get me wrong. I wanted him to stay and thought he would, but he's nothing special. And still is not anyone's GM.

That's true, but Love is a better scorer, rebounder and shooter than Green. could probably pass as well, but is needed to score. Green is a better defender.

Haven't debated yet, but as I said...just in this thread I've seen far worse. Seems like if asked a question he'll answer.

JR was overpaid because he was the Cavs' starting 2-guard and a client of Rich Paul (Lebron's agent). There was also no room for the Cavs in terms of salary cap to go out and get another 2-guard that was worth a shit. JR fit perfectly with Lebron because he was a good 3-point shooter.

Griffin did a good job maneuvering the roster around Lebron. He also had a deal lined up to get Paul George as well, but it was Gilbert who inadvertently nixed the trade by not extending Griffin. If you had Paul George, your franchise likely looks vastly different and you may potentially have another banner in the rafters. Which in some ways is a failure when you've had a top 3 all-time NBA player in Lebron James for 11 total years, and just one title to show for it.

Kind of weak fandom. There's plenty of LeBron haters who are still loyal to the team as we all see here every day.
You can even not like the guy and be glad he's on your team as he's pretty good. Does he have his faults? sure. He's a narcissistic, passive aggressive drama queen. Plenty of worse faults among NBA players.

I never said those were bad moves and have made the same arguments to those who have complained or ripped the Cavs for those moves. With their payroll it was sign JR, TT, Shump or no one. And, yes, JR AND TT fit well with that team and Lebron.

And, no, it was not Gilbert who nixed the PG deal. It was Indiana if you believe the reports.

Know what else gets them another banner? The cap explosion happening a year sooner or later and not coinciding with Durant's FA. Have you noticed no team has beaten GS in the playoffs other than the cavs? I do like PG, but did you notice last year with him OKC was not any better and Indiana was?

Well, when Lebron basically make it known that he's not cool with the coach, everyone else falls in line. This ends up being the result. Walton's days are basically numbered. This is sort of what @WiggyRuss was eluding to when he mentioned that players have too much power in the NBA today.

Not every player. But the big stars do run the league in a way only Jordan approximated. Now there are like 7-8 Jordans.

I've seen that from many here.

To me, I've always thought the best posters are those who will admit if they are wrong, answer direct questions and base their replies on the post. Not the poster.
