I think the flip side to that is it is also quite impressive to be that great along side other great players.

Yeah, the way see I it:

Playing with other great players makes it harder to put up numbers.
Playing with other great players makes it easier to play great.

Playing without great players makes it easier to put up numbers.
Playing without great players makes it harder to play great.

The Clippers' bold plan to land Kawhi and KD in free agency

@Mecca this would be awesome actually.....if James gets another guy to join him......the Lakers vs Clipps might have the makings of a real deal Holyfield rivalry between 2 really good teams.....

Good article by Windhorst.
:lalala:

I have a hard time believing he will leave the Raptors.

They broke their foot off in the Clippers ass WITHOUT him.

He would really have to hate living in Canada...imo

Even if he flees, who says it will be for the Clippers?

I refuse to even entertain this topic in December.

Fyi....I would actually love to get Vuvecic in FA.

Wonder what it would take to pry him lose to have his bird rights?

They need a point and Beverley is most certainly done with the Clippers.

He didn't want to take a backseat to Harden.

So, I can't imagine he's happy losing his starting spot to a Rookie.

We don't control our pick.

So, this is just wishful thinking because you'd need to include a pick with a player to even start that conversation.

Raptors crushing the Clippers without Kawhi.
Nick Nurse coaching the day his Mom dies and the team has his back big time
End to end ass whooping.

If the loss of Lou Williams hurts the Clippers more than Toronto not having Kawhi available, its time to start preparing for the ping pong balls.

Regardless.....with West in house, Rivers doing fine just coaching, and Frank doing a good job as president of operations I think they are headed in the right direction.

Here's an excellent article on Jaylen Brown in particular and the C's in general...

Jaylen Brown's new journey and why it's so important to Boston

Jaylen has struggled a bunch this young season but has been playing better lately. The above article is particularly good because it shows some of the inner working dynamics of the Celtics... how players and coaches deal with each other.

I love it.

Imo both arent going to be the centerpiece to get a championship but I feel like having Zion gets you closer. RJ is a pure scorer, he actually only shoots 30% from 3 but he cant definitely get better at shooting. I didnt know he was growing, if he grows another 3-4” should the Cavs take him #1? Lolzz

If you draft him, I'm giving Cavs fans a ton of Shit about being a 61 % free throw shooter.

I always find it strange when guys are described as scorers.

But, they can't make a fucking free throw.

I know it's possible.

Look at LeBron.

But, it's weird...lol

Yeah 61% is bad, I mean it is even worse for a guy like Lonzo being a PG, pathetic. I really think a lot of high talent kids that dont really have that natural stroke just dont practice FT’s...could be wrong but they put their focus on low post moves, shooting, DUNKING, finishing at the rim, etc.

Lonzo still sucks...when I say suck I actually mean he sucks. He can be a special passer and good defender but he sucks at shooting, free throws, mid-range, 3 pt shot.

Over/under on how long he lasts with Lebron...after this year? 2 years? He sucks lolz

Yep.

They don't work on the fundamentals and are more concerned about the highlight plays.

Nowadays, NBA teams have to have a strong player development staff.

They literally have to teach these kids how to play.

I thought that was what High School and College athletics were for.

Under.

I think he's gone this Summer.

Not because he sucks because he doesn't.

But, because he doesn't give you enough when everything he does well, LeBron does better.

I see him and Ingram and parts going out to get another star like Beal.

They can get a All star for them, probably not a Superstar though.

Lonzo is without a doubt a disappointment as a #2 overall pick, especially considering guys like Tatum, Fox, Markenen went close behind him.

I agree. I think they can get very good value for him as well so why not skim the market and see what you can get. And likecyou said, if Ingram doesnt prove to more, like Kuzma, he is gone too. I agree 100%

agree....Ingram/Ball etc. might be enough to get a Beal type guy but def. not enough to get a Davis level guy.

I mean I haven’t liked him from the start, I know he is young but with that shooting stroke I just dont see him improving enough to even make that draft pick worthy of its’ value. I think mentally he is fucked from his dad, he just doesn’t show it

So if they were to do Lonzo, Ingram for Beal could they get another star in LA?

Ball and Ingram will be $16M combined. Beal is $27M. The Lakers cap will be $67M add in the $11M and you havd around $78M. They would have around $31M to play with next offseason assuming they dont trade anyone else on the books for 19-20

Yes and if you strike out on Leonard and KD you can still get other players who may want to play here in LA opposite of Mr James.
