Well I think if that' what LBJ wanted then the Lakers most likely go along with it.

If it meant getting Nance & Hood in LA with him it wouldn't just be helping Gilbert- he'd been helping himself first. Not saying this had to be the exact deal, my point really was more of a sign & trade that would've brought help along with him to LA. You have a point that maybe neither team would've went for it. It was just a thought I had.
Yeah, I get what you are saying.

Imo....

If they were going to package guys for a player to help LeBron, it would have been Kawhi if the Spurs were willing or Butler.

They will still have this option available over the Summer if the rumors are true that the top ufa's don't want to play with Lebron.

*watch out for Lillard or Beal *

Honestly, if I'm the Lakers...

I'd go for a healthy Boogie or Middleton.

the trade market will heat up once the major FA's sign

if the Lakers strike out in the FA market, which they very well may, then you look at guys like Wall, Beal, maybe even Love, maybe Lillard (though i cant see the Blazers dealing him)....

i think they will be forced to look at that 2nd tier of guys---- either that or the trade market with Wall, Beal, Love, --maybe even Aldridge or DeRozan if hte Spurs throw in the towell and Pop retires, or ---- if it gets dirty, Conley or maybe Gasol.

Vucevic always seems to get al ot of disrespect but isnt bad too

Deal makes more sense with the 1st Rd pick, but that's going to be in the late 20's. Also a future 2nd round pick which will be in the high 50's as well. Overall, D+ grade on the return.

Still...DELLY IS BACK.

@WiggyRuss Why the rainbow? Was it because of my trade grade? You guys take on 16M in salary for a 1st round pick that will be in the 25 range and a future 2nd round pick in the late 50's. That good value?

George Hill may be the happiest person currently

Bucks could play this in a number of ways. Could just let him expire and use that money to re-sign Middleton/Bledsoe.

Or they could go all out and use his contract to acquire another difference maker on a team that becomes a seller in another month or two.

Will be interesting.
