I'll go in order of your irrational......

**Yes, they loaded up on picks and cap space. Went to the Finals when Lebron came back. Not the same is being a 10-12 seed, right?

**This was your second AND last point, but I'll answer it here. Even though you kind of did already. So far, all he's done without Lebron is accrue enough assets and cap space to woo Lebron back. Worked. They won a title if you didn't know.

**"Pretty consistently" in the playoffs? for a whopping 2 years? Now I agree Indiana is a well run organization but to say they've done better than the Cavs since Gilbert has been here is absurd.

**Yep, Denver might be the 2 seed. Cavs have been the 1-2 seed a few times with Gilbert, too. Played in 5 Finals. See my last comment about Indiana, but sub Denver.

You do realize that the Cavs' success is based solely on Lebron, right? Lebron was going to go back to Cleveland regardless, so he could win a title.

Also @Heatles84 Phillies play spring training off of US19 in clearwater as well, you can catch a game super cheap and that have an awesome tiki bar in ledt field. I live and work off 19, pretty much all the main things to do in Clearwater are off that road.

Good to know, amigo.

And in the end, it took Lebron to guide that team to a title. The team without Lebron based off sample size was quite pathetic.
OK, but he did do enough to get him back. What else would you have wanted them to do those 4 years? Keep overpaid vets to maybe go as high as a 6 seed with no chance to be a contender?

Or better to clear cap room and accrue as many assets as possible to make another run?

I'll also throw in my Mercedes C-280 also.
No need, that one is too old. The newer models are now C -300 :dhd:

"Was gonna go back regardless?" If he didn't know from his first time here or from promises Gilbert made before he signed the second time that money would never be an issue he'd have come back?

Still haven't explained what you'd have had him do differently without Lebron. Never mind you think a team who is in the playoffs for the first time in, what, 6-7 years shows they've done better than Gilbert is still absurd. Same with Indiana.

The debate here is best ran organization. How do you define being a good organization as tanking consistently when Lebron leaves? Also, wasn't this the same owner that wrote in Comic Sans that he was going to win a title before Lebron did in Miami (spoiler alert: He didn't)? But yeah, sure, best owner in the league.

Maybe because Lebron knew that he was the best player in the league, Cleveland was starved for a title, and Lebron just won two titles in Miami. Dan Gilbert wasn't exactly sitting pretty in Cleveland, so he sold his soul to the devil and said he'd spend whatever it took to keep Lebron happy and win a title. Does it not strike you as odd that Lebron didn't even sign a long-term deal while in Cleveland and kept hold Gilbert's feet to the fire? The minute he signs a deal in LA - it's for the long haul.

you were the only one who couldn't figure it out.....as usual.
Wrong again.

I was the only one who called you on it, while SEVERAL others took the approach of trying to help you clean it up.

Denver hasn't had to rely on a generational player to make the playoffs. Again I ask, what has Cleveland done without Lebron?

Kyrie was for the most part pretty much a consensus---- but thats a far way away from there being a cant-miss slam dunk #1 pick like a Zion or KAT or Davis or Griffin or Simmons etc. which the CAvs never had.

Yes, you agreed you said it (well, didn't deny it and deflected), but never admitted how foolish it was. Nor will you.
Why would I admit to something that is clearly YOUR OPINION and not factual? Not sure why you think anyone else agrees with you there.

You asked what he had ever done without Lebron and there really isn't anything else to go by other than those 4 years. This one, too, which has showed promise with the young guys.

Nice straw man, but who said "best owner in the league."?

Well, we're in the 5th year, bud and he still hasn't done jack shit. And probably won't next year either.

In terms of best owner, you were in here jizzing yourself about Dan Gilbert spent so much money while Lebron was here and that Arison of the Heat was a cheap ass.

But in the end, Arison still got 2 titles out of Lebron to Gilbert's 1. Congrats!

Are you sure? I think it might, but looking further they might have to renounce Kyrie.
Just too many moving parts, too many egos, too many people having to completely reverse what they've been selling their fanbases. Seems pretty hard to pull off.

useful when? Where? lol

12 years in the league for 7 different teams, sure sounds like they had some use for him in order to make the roster, mostly for depth in the latter years.

I get you don't even care to see anything that refutes your comments with logic, facts and reason but could it be, yes, he wanted to hold Gilbert's feet to the fire AND also shorter deals meant more money as he was in the prime of his career? Maybe he signed longterm this time as it is possible he wont be worth what he is set to make in LA in years 3 or 4? You realize his LA deal is a whopping 1 year longer than his last deal here?

Never mind you ignore where you obviously screwed the pooch. without believing Gilbert would spend he would not have come back...so he wasn't coming back "regardless" as you said.

you are, huh?

In case you missed it, the answer is the only time he was without Lebron they cleared cap space and added assets which enabled them to bring him back and win a title.

what has LA done so far WITH Lebron?
I'm STILL dying from the bolded 72 size font though.

agree...was the only team I could even come up with who MIGHT be able to make it work AND would be a place Lebron might want to play (if traded).
