Spurs are now tied with OKC for 5th/6th.

OKC only a half game up on 7th seeded Utah and a game up on 8th seeded Clippers.

The 8 teams in the west may be decided already but the fight for position in the final 3 weeks of the season will be fun.

Den and GSW fighting for the top seed, Houston and Portland fighting for 3rd then OKC, UTA, SAS, and LAC all fighting to try and avoid the Warriors and/or Rockets in round 1

Fun stuff

Derrick White dominates again.

Shuts down Curry this time. It is getting repetitive.
Jakob Poetl is suddenly an A+ defender as well giving the Spurs a real inside/out defensive identity right now.

Sure, it will revert back to the mean. They cannot keep it up forever.

White/Poetl are both under 24 and are likely to have youngster mistakes soon.

But, if the playoffs started today, I dont think anyone wants to see these Spurs.

Poetl is under rated and is a great player with all hustle. Nice hands for a big guy as well

It'd be fun if the Kings were part of the 8.

Next year hopefully.

Goal at this point should be finish .500 or better this season with the playoffs as the realistic season goal next season

Feel like playoffs are gonna be much tougher to make next season. Lakers will almost surely get an all star added and the Mavs will have Luka and KP for(possibly) a full season. Suns will get another top pick which means they'll improve and most if not all the 8 playoff teams should be playoff caliber. At this point a .500 or better record would be great, the offseason is gonna be very important although you could say that most years.

Thanks Westbrook for picking up your 16th technical and being suspended and probably costing your team a home game.

The Heat will have plenty of cap space soon enough, and had zero chance to win anything these past few seasons regardless of any potential moves they would have made.

You can write 10,000 more words on how great the Cavs plan, but anyone with brain knows the ONLY success the Cavs have achieved in the last 2 decades was because of how lotto balls bounced.

And in the end, still got lucky that a generational player like Lebron returned to Cleveland. If Lebron wasn't from the state of Ohio, he doesn't return and Cleveland doesn't have a title.

Lately they’ve shown that even with him they can lose.

2018-19 Regular Season NBA Player Stats and League Leaders - 3-Points - National Basketball Association - ESPN

There are 29 guys in the league shooting over 40% from 3.

the lowest # of makes to qualify that i saw on the list was Bobby Potis at 58 makes. Still very impressed that Bobby Portis is making 41.4% of 3's even if its at a relatively low volume. He is underated player.

Some other notables on the list:

-Joe Harris leads all of basketball at 46.3% on 155 makes--- this is what @DJ told me- when i said that the Cavs might have found a solid role player in Joe Harris in the draft: Perk to Cleveland "Joe Harris? D-League material."

-Seth Curry is #3 at 45.0% on 126 makes- nice below the radar pickup from Portland.

-Danny Green is #4 at 44.1% on 163 makes- Toronto got a helluva deal getting him thrown in.

-Buddy Hield is #6 at 43.4% on a big time 231 makes- what a steal the Kings got.

-Landry Shamet is #12 with a 42.2% on 144 makes- a helluva job by a rookie. Great deal landing him by the Clips and he might be a nice piece for them to flip or keep.

-Malcolm Brogdon at tied for #10 with a 42.6% on 104 makes. This guy is a really valuable role player- but i am sure he sees plenty of spacing and plenty of open looks

-Steph Curry at #10 with a 42.6% and the most makes on the list at 295 (with the guys making over 40%)

-Colin Sexton- is #20 with a 41.3% and 95 makes- a weakness of his was supposed to be 3 pt shooting

-Karl Anthony Towns surprised me being on this list- #23 with a 40.8% on 150 makes. He can really shoot the 3 for a big man.

-last but not least- old man Vince Carter at #29- 40.4% on 104 makes. Old but useful.

Actually, I'm interested in you explaining to us again how rebounding is defense.

#Priceless
#Can'tMakeThisCrapUp
You can ask NBA.com why they include it in their rebounding metrics FOR DEFENSE. Just to help you out, if it says "def reb" that is defensive rebounding if you were not aware.

See, told you. If you are confused, ask, and I'll help.

You're welcome, and I cannot wait to see you try and dance out of this one.

If the Thunder miss HCA in round by 1 game then we can look back at this game

Kevin Love is to Love Connection is to Chuck Woolery. I'm rolling with Chuck Person whose nickname was Rifleman which is a TV Western. Clint Eastwood was in a movie in Detroit. Eminem

Love played with Lebron who was in a number of movies, TV shows, etc. He could be sports' Kevin Bacon.

And what the hell was with your Pistons' sitting Griffin last night and hurting Cavs' chances of "catching" the Suns?

I would assume its because if you dont box out and give up the rebound any defense played before hand is completely moot. lol....but that would just be too much common sense.

I mean i think its fairly obvious that knowing how to box out, being able to anticipate where the ball is going to go, and snagging a higher % of defensive rebounds has a real material net effect on the teams overall defense.
