He will when his contract is up in 2 years. That's how it works

Point is, no way Harper is worth that much. If Harper is getting 300M, Trout should be getting double in two years.

In 7 years...

Over 40+ HR - 1 time
Batted .300+ - 2 times

Love how he can get on base and he is still a great player but not $300+M great. I would pay a lot of guys more money than Harper.

Welcome to the end of February folks. It's time of the year where the Knicks win a few meaningless games and screw up their draft positioning. It's basically a right of spring in these parts.

And like I said, he will get more. Probably over $400M

Yep...as mentioned, I give Dolan a lot of flak but even if he was a free spender I would not want to see him sign Harper to that kind of deal.

That said, would have loved to have seen them go after Cruz and/or Marwin Gonzalez.

The Knicks are doing just fine....leave them alone. Even better if they can beat the Cavs in a couple days AND do something to Love to keep him out a few weeks.

If they sit a healthy AD for no reason then he and Rich Paul can file a grievance against them. They don't really have a choice once they decided to keep him for the rest of this season.

I hear ya, but this isn't the NBA where one player can make that big of a difference. Pretty sure Pujols was far better when he signed that deal with the Angels and how long do you think they wished they could get out of it?

They probably started regretting it as soon as he messed up his ankle or foot or whatever it was on the dugout steps in what? His first game as an Angel?

Maybe the Knicks will trade for Kelly Olynyk before then? :noidea:

You might have something if I didn't make nearly the same point.

Of course, even with Kyrie's level of crazy you could have put him on GS instead of Curry the last 2 years and this one and I doubt anyone thinks GS would not have won the title if he was/is healthy.
Well we've seen what happens when you try to enlist a group of posters here in your post to help what you think bolsters your point.

And I've made, many of us have made the same point to you numerous times because you're thick skulled.

Holy Pot Calling the Kettle Black, Batman. And enlist posters? Not my thing. sorry.

This was my original comparison.....If I was drafting a top 8 I'd pick Lebron #1 and it's not close, Curry then Kyrie (and those 2 are close), Love, Klay, Green, Barnes then TT.

do you see where I also said I'd take Curry over Kyrie?

I wont ask you to man (or woman) up and admit a gaffe as it's not in your nature but your apology is accepted.

Not in you to admit your gaffe, I realize, but apology accepted
My post was in response to you saying Kyrie would have a far greater impact than Curry. You are clearly wrong otherwise he would be taken BEFORE Curry in any situation when picking to build a team.

Thank you for restating my thesis

Also no way Houston wins if Iggy doesn't get hurt
No way he thinks Hou loses if Iggy isn't hurt if he can't concede that Dray & Bogut being out in 2016 didn't make a difference in that series outcome.

In all fairness, I don't think Love needs much help getting hurt :D

I wouldn't sweat it too much.

The bottom 3 teams all have a 14% chance of getting the No. 1 pick. Even No. 4, which the Knicks could theoretically climb up to, only drops down to 12.5%. No. 5 is almost certainly out of reach for the Knicks.

Granted there is one notable difference between No.1 and No. 4. The spread of spots you can wind up. The no. 1 team can at worst get the No. 5 spot. The No. 4 team could theoretically wind up with the No. 8 spot although that is very unlikely.

The no. 1 team has a 60% of getting the 4 or 5 spot.

The Pelicans don't want their injury prone superstar who wants out to get hurt and ruin the return they could get for him. If AD/Paul had just waited until the offseason to demand a trade, the team would have no reason to sit him if he's healthy.
