Was hoping we could slow play it with Nico but I think he gets thrown in the top 6 right away now. Quenneville. McLeod, you're on deck.

Yea, that is the worst part. Of course we will miss his 2 way play, work on special teams, faceoffs, but the leadership and veteran part with all these young players makes this a bad blow to the team.

So as predicted the Rangers are one of Kerfoot's last three teams. Screw this guy if he goes there, scumbag move. It's one thing if you want to be closer to home or want a bigger contract etc, but to burn a team and then play 10 minutes away, that's a real shitty thing to do.

This seems to happen every year with NY. As long as the rule is in place, teams like Rangers will continue to pick up these college players like Vesey, Kerfoot, etc.
I think its now between Vancouver and NY.

the zajac blow hurts but then you have to realize hey we aren't a playoff team with him in the lineup. yeah i know the kids will be "thrown" into every situation possible and that can hurt their development but these are high rated prospects we are talking about nico #1 pick mclode the #11 zacha the #6. if they aren't ready then we are in trouble anyway.

zacha has to step up and be on the 2c put henrique at 1c and nico on 3c. then evaluate as the season goes along. love having q blendisi speers mclode wood all in the lineup. besides zajac should be back by dec they say so thats what? 25 games? not a huge horrible loss. if we were a playoff team then i would be pissed and worried

Hayes is 6'6, if you're going to have 4th line grinders they may as well be monsters. Throw Boyle and Hayes out there together and those are some big bodies to handle.

Pre Zajac injury I would have said no but post Zajac injury, would you take a flyer on Vanek? 1 year deal, money wouldn't matter, slot him in as a 3rd line winger. If he sucks, who cares. If he's good and we're out of it flip him for what you can.

yeah i was wondering why stafford and not jagr? jagr definitely has more skill then stafford and probably just a little slower then him even at 45. i know he is filling a void on rw but still don't get that.

he is obviously a rental like stempniak.
