You can't honestly be telling me you enjoy the repetitiveness we've seen the last THREE seasons

I guess a Laker fan wouldn't know anything about winning multiple consecutive championships or anything repetitive about finals matchups....

When was the last time the same two teams made the finals three times in a row?

I'll wait while you look up it was in the mid 60s.

Of course you would, you're a fan of one of the two teams that are on top. How about the fans of the other 28 teams?

Every single year in the 80's, either the Lakers or the Celtics were in the Finals... including 4 times they faced each other.

Where were you complaining about the repetitiveness when the Lakers won the NBA Championship 5 times in an 11 year span, with 7 total final appearances from 2000 to 2010?

Why are you looking at single teams making the finals rather than the same two over and over again?

We've seen the Warriors and the cavs in the finals three years running, something that we haven't seen in over 50 years.

I get you're a Warriors fan, and good on you. But wouldn't you rather seen a different opponent in the finals other than the cavs? Or do you just not give a shit?

How many times did the 80's Lakers play the same team in the Finals year after year?

Hell yeah as a Lakers fan I loved seeing them in the Finals all these times. But you think people wouldn't have switched off if it was the Lakers-Celtics in the 80s for four/five/six years running?

I want to see the best basketball possible and feel like if the two teams are clearly the dominant teams they should be playing for the title.

It's not a Warrior fan bias that's coming in to play here. I had no issue with the Lakers or Spurs or Celtics, etc, being very good for very long periods of time when the Warriors were one of the most shitty teams in league history for years. That's what happens when you assemble a great team with great talent.

The NBA is cyclical. You may have to ride it out now if you're not a fan of the other two teams that are competing for the championship but deluding yourself into believing that in any given season there were more than a handful of teams being actual championship caliber is ridiculous.

If the Cavs are the best team, I'd want to play them in the finals. It's not that I'd prefer a different opponent, but the best one to legitimize the championship. I believe that in order to be the best, you have to beat the best.

I just find it odd that being a fan of such a storied franchise with so much success is complaining about other teams having success. It feels like just a bitterness than an actual complaint.

Nobody is complaining about a team's success. If the Warriors won the title ten years running, good for them. But I would rather see them play different teams instead of just the one. And i'm pretty sure that 90% of neutral fans would agree.

If the Cavs/Warriors played again in the finals, would you be any less inclined to watch than say the Raptors and Spurs played in the finals?

Well obviously it's a joke, but it's not so much Laker Fans as select few with selective memory.

No, this was an attempt at a personal dig at me. And since i'm a Lakers fan, you included everyone else in that too.

One Lakers fan says something, every other one must agree, right?
Wiggy has the same logic FYI

Yes I would. The same two teams for the fourth year in a row? And so would a lot of fans.

If the Warriors played the Celtics on the other hand, I wouldn't miss a minute.

Well obviously it was a dig at you, but if you can't see the humor in it, then that's on you not on me. And also if it's a dig at you, why would you then assume that I'm lumping all Laker fans into this category. It's either a personal dig at you, or at all Laker fans. Can't be both.

If you're lumping me in the same category as Wiggy, then obviously you must brush past most of my comments on here and not know anything about my posting. LOL.

There are tons of Laker fans on here, who are more active in basketball discussion. You don't see any of them jumping down my throats for my comments. Gotta ask yourself why?

So it's ok if there's one dominant team, just not two?

Yes, I would rather watch that, than see the same two teams year after year? Why is that so hard to understand?

If the Warriors play the Celtics, i'd watch every game.
If the Cavs play the Rockets, i'd watch every game.

If the Warriors play the Cavs again, I might have a look if nothing else is on the tv. I'd probably just check the results and box score though.
