They could land a better package of future assets for sure.

But, IT would give them one more shot to win this year, then they get to start over. I just don't think it makes sense to trade current assets for future when you have 1 more year with LeBron on the roster. Why waste that year?

IT and Crowder give the Cavs the best win now package of all the realistic ideas I have seen.

I think the Cavs would take IT in the trade, but with only 1 year remaining and his max demands coming up his trade value is limited. A 1st needs to be included (just not the Nets pick).

That Nets pick could be worth more than Kyrie. He needs to hold that unless he is getting Anthony Davis. There are a couple legit franchise caliber players in next year's class. Kyrie is not that.

Irving is better than IT and with Heyward, Fultz, and the other players they have would make catapult them ahead of the Cavs. THe Celtics vs the Cavs games would be epic.

He really isn't though. They have similar impact on the game.

Neither plays a lick of defense, both are great offensive players. Kyrie is obviously the better scorer, but IT is better playmaker. I honestly think IT fits better with what the Celtics have now (I realize they may not sign him long term).

If the Celtics make that trade with the Nets or Lakers pick, they will never be a serious contender. They might make the Finals, but they won't have any chance to win there. Kyrie is horribly overrated, and this trade idea is proof.
