The WC is stacked.

Stacked where? It is top heavy as always. The 8th seed in the west will have between 43-45 wins IMO.

They have 5 teams are about a lock for 50 wins in the Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, and T-Wolves. After that, unless a team really takes a jump like Portland, Denver, or the Pelicans I have no idea where you see another 50 win team out west. My guess is the 6th seed will be around 48 wins and the 7th/8th seeds will max out at about 45 wins at most.

It will look similar to the standings last year in terms of win total. 5 teams were at 50+ wins. 6th seed was at 47 while the 7th and 8th seeds were in the low 40's. Really don't see it being much different this year.

You are right, the West is top heavy.

But, there is zero chance a sub .500 team makes the playoffs in this West.

Yeah I agree on that. Just don't think the 8th seed is going to approach 50 wins.

I was just looking back at the 2015-2016 NBA standings. The 8th seeded Pistons had the same record as the 5th seeded Blazers lol

Portland made the playoffs in 2017 with 41 wins.
They did.

Utah, Clippers, Grizzly got worse.

2 of the above 3 Teams might not make the playoffs.

Because, Minny and Denver got better.

Shit, all 3 could miss if Boogie and Davis figure it out.

So, Sub .500 is not going to cut it.

Fiddy?

No, I totally concede that point to you.

I don't see how the Clippers, Memphis nor Portland can win 50 plus.

It will be closer to that year that the Suns were a hair short and sunk their Team by signing Thomas that Summer.

Worked out well for you though...lol

Lmao @ the Summer Lakers crowd telling LeBron to come to LA, while he's scouting his next team.

" He who shalt not be named " must be like....

Also, Miami finished the season 41-41, yet we missed the playoffs. As you've mentioned, the West is top heavy as shit.

I was thinking that if the Lakers keep it close enough to the 35 to 40 wins, they could get lucky and get 41 wins. I never thought 35 would make the cut, just keep it close and sneak in. We already know that even if the Lakers gets the 7th or 8th seed, they will not make it out of the first round.

LeBron is at the Lakers-Sixers game.....

#JamestotheLakers

Swerve. It's #JamestotheSixers !!!

They've got cap space, Fultz/Simmons/Embiid, and its the East which guarantees him a trip to the Finals. The Process will be completed. Hinkie died for this

I am not so sure about that.

Western conference teams have to play each other 3 and 4 times. The top 5 are so strong, it could easily deflate the win totals of some pretty solid teams competing for the 8th spot. Especially if a 6th team emerges as a 50 win caliber roster.

I could very easily see a scenario where the 8th seed in the East has more wins than the 8th seed in the West because the West will beat the crap out of each other. But, the West 8 seed will still be a far superior team.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing.

Except for one minor wrinkle:

There was not a single player on the floor for Philly that leBron would actually be playing with. Ball was out there for the Lakers.

Exactly I just don't see how anyone with a brain would think the 8th seed in the west will end up with 48 or 50 wins.
