Guys, let's put the last 2 Free Agency periods into perspective.

Butler is #35 on this list and Kawhi is #36.

When you become a free agent is way more important than how good of a player you project to be.

#2, #3, #10.....:gaah:.

2017-2018 Player Salaries

RK NAME TEAM SALARY
1 LeBron James, SF Cleveland Cavaliers $33,285,709

2 Kyle Lowry, PG Toronto Raptors $28,703,704

3 Mike Conley, PG Memphis Grizzlies $28,530,608

4 Russell Westbrook, PG Oklahoma City Thunder $28,530,608

5 James Harden, SG Houston Rockets $28,299,399

6 DeMar DeRozan, SG Toronto Raptors $27,739,975

7 Al Horford, C Boston Celtics $27,734,406

8 Carmelo Anthony, SF New York Knicks $26,243,760

9 Damian Lillard, PG Portland Trail Blazers $26,153,057

10 Otto Porter Jr., SF Washington Wizards $24,773,250

NBA Player Salaries - National Basketball Association - ESPN

So....

You are saying Otto Porter does not deserve to be the 10th highest player in the league?

Since he is, that means he must be the next superstar, right? LOL.

I like the Crawford signing. That brings us to a total of 11 players under contract. ..

If Thibs coaches like he's capable.....that team is scary. I just wish they'd kept Rubio, better playmaker than Teague and a better defender. They have Butler, Towns, and Wiggins to score.

Sure.

Anything is possible. Maybe he has learned from past experience.

But, if Russ didn't fall in love with feeding KD, I can't see him fall in love with feeding PG. IMO, there is only 1 player in the history of the league who I would say is definitely a better scorer than KD, and that is the GOAT. There are plenty of greater players, but KD is in the conversation with anybody else for #2 as a pure scorer. Paul George is not anywhere near that level.
George doesn't command the ball AS much or in the same way that KD does. I think they could coexist a little easier.

KD has co-existed pretty good with the Warriors....

Mixed on it... Teague is a better finisher at the rim. Better in the pick and roll. There will be more ball movement. Obviously worse on defense. Wiggins will have to pick up the slack on that end.....

On offense, though, Teague might better fit the system Thibs wants to run.

I am not sure about that. KD is extremely unselfish. Not saying George is selfish, but some on here have faulted KD for not being assertive enough in demanding the ball. He never publically criticized Russ when I think many players might have in moments of frustration. The fact that George isn't as good actually doesn't bode well, IMO.

For OKC to play at peak efficiency, George should be their leading scorer. I don't think he will be.

Well I guess we'll see. I think George works better as Westbrook's no 2 than Russ does as Durant's no2.

I know but your implication was he needs the ball a lot....
Well I could be wrong, but I think hes had a higher usage rate than George for their careers.

Maybe.

I guess that was the problem though. I am pretty sure Russ never viewed himself as number 2 with KD.

When I see David Falk or Rich Paul's name, I know a ridiculous contract is on the way.
