You know Okafor situation is a strange deal. Is he really that bad?

I don't think he is bad. Just a really bad defensive player. He doesn't do a lot of things well. He can score but that's about it. Wouldn't mind him on my roster as a bench player but until he improves in other areas then his starting days are over.

Credit for what?
Did anyone here say that they expected anything different?

Well yeah especially after the Hayward deal, you hear some Celtics win the East talk, and there's still some "Spurs shoulda won if they were healthy" talk

Not trying to sound bitter, but the Celtics still have a ways to go to win the East. I give the Spurs a better chance at winning the West then the Celtics winning the East. And I'm fully aware of how dominant the Dubs are. That's taking out the possibility of Cleveland imploding, which is a possibility.

Washington should inquire as to the price of Crowder -- that way they don't need to max Porter.

You should interview for the Cavs opening.
I love that idea.
Apparently Wiz wanted to work with Porter but he didn't wait.
I can't blame anyone for not waiting on 100M, but if I'm the Wiz and can get a similar player in Crowder, I'd let Porter rot in N.J..

I disagree because even though he never has gotten injured, the Cavs are totally fucked if James goes down.
Warriors would still be awful good even if they lose one of their Big 4.

Yeah, he'll be 33 just after the start of the year. Seems like he's not slowing down anytime soon. But after this year, it may be open season in the East if he decides to up and leave.

Even then, it depends on which of the big 4 they lose. If it's not KD or Steph, they are still prohibitive favorites. Especially if it's not KD.

I was referencing fully healthy teams here. The Spurs are the only team that I give any shot of taking down Cleveland/Golden St., albeit a very slim chance.

Not sure. His defense has been really bad -- can't switch, has lacked effort. His offensive efficiency has not been great and he needs to expand his range because he clogs up the paint. I'd like to see him get some playing time with Simmons to see if they can click together a bit -- but it seems like the 76ers are ready to move on from him. I think in the right system, he could still provide some value. Hopefully it's with the 76ers.

Rockets & Thunder will be right there on par with the Spurs, imo.

Hmm. Although, after reading your post, I just realized that Boston would never do that. It both helps Washington and improves Brooklyn for next year -- so they'd hurt themselves if they had to face the Wizards in the playoffs (although I doubt Washington could compete at this point) and it hurts their chances at winning the lottery.

Fair enough.
The way the Cavs toyed with the Celts, Hayward alone barely puts a dent in it plus we need to see who they lose.
Problem for the Cavs is that Love pretty much only sucks vs Warriors, but everyone knows it.

They're close. Thunder had an amazing offseason adding George and Patrick Patterson's a nice fill-in for the price OKC got him at. I'm curious to see what a CP3/Harden back court's going to look like.
