Tatum looks good thus far. If anything, you can feature him as a 6th man and introduce some lineups that put more of an offense. How's his defense though? Solid defender, for a kid that just got drafted?
He's going to have growing pains on defense... no doubt.

It's both a mental learning curve as well as a need to mature into his body and get some time in an NBA strength program.

Jaylon Brown struggled at times on D last season, too... it's natural, it's to be expected.

Nets did the same shit with Tyler Johnson and the Heat. Leave it to those dysfunctional fucks to mess it up for other teams. I feel like an offer sheet that they sign should be voided because they're idiocy affects other teams so badly; or greatly (ask Boston).

I hadn't seen Tatum yet in summer league, which is why I asked. Regardless of the Hayward signing, he was a good pick in the draft. But yeah, he wasn't going to have an NBA body in year 1. Hayward didn't get his until year 6/7.

You could be right. Top of this year's draft was sweet.

With the way the league's setting up, George would've taken Boston a long way. Davis, although he has more upside, is more injury prone.

At least Boston has options though. Congrats on the pick up.
Thanks, man. It's nice of you to say after losing out on Hayward... I know I would have been down if the C's missed out on him.

What are they messing up exactly? They're trying to improve their team.

Yeah, I'm not that petty. Had it been Lebron, I would've been team petty. You guys just need to go beat Cleveland now.

The Celtics could have had Butler and Hayward......they coulda offered the Bulls a better deal than the Wolves.

Just don't think Porter's worth a max.

He was going to get max anywhere he went. The Kings deal that they were going to offer him was going to be the same exact deal.

Hard to blame them for trying to add any young talented players they can, they're fucked draft wise currently so this or trades(like getting Russell) is all they can do to build a young core. Otto was gonna want this type of deal from a team whether it was Washington or not, it's on the Wizards to pay him what they think he deserves or let him walk and try and add a star next year. The Boston trade was so bad and really helped the Celtics, which wasn't the best thing to have happen.

No doubt... I really think that the C's thought they had the inside track on PG, though.

It's a poker game... I don't think it was the worst play by Boston, they just didn't pull that hand out.

Yeah I don't blame them at all. Sean Marks is doing his best to get out of a mess that Billy King created. Have no issues with what they're doing.

Yep really sucks for Utah. Now they're likely back to missing the playoffs and finishing the year under .500
