I can't wrap my head around these contracts....paying Porter the max. Goodness.

That is what happens when you have max contracts. It screws up the marketplace something fierce. More guys end up getting max deals because the legit superstars are severely underpaid (at least when compared to other players).

If there was no max or no cap, guys like LeBron and KD would make at least 2 or 3 times the current max and guys like Porter would not command 20 million.

Gonna take a quick shower and do inventory for food before game 2.
K. I'm gonna take a dump and eat some triscuits. I'll meet you back here.

CNN is reporting that Hayward wanted to see Fenway Park so Ainge, Grosbec (owner), IT and Horford drove over for a look-see and a little recruiting. Only about a mile as the crow flies from TD Garden. Could have walked over to Government Square and caught the Green Line.

If Hayward is smart he'll go to Boston instead of Miami.:hope: The Heat are a complete mess of a franchise right now.

Am I right @WiggyRuss?

Signed for a lot less than Ingles and an argument could be made he's the same or even better than Ingles.

One guy is 36 and the other is 29. You clearly have something against Ingles because you know nothing about him

Ingles is more of an unknown who finally got some time in the spotlight with the Jazz in the playoffs. Solid defense and shooting from a role player is very important, you can't win with name value alone.

Yep very good role player in his 3+D role. He got paid what solid role players who aren't old and washed up are getting paid these days.

Ingles is a good player.

Also, I am quite certain Korver would have gotten a lot more money elsewhere. Let's not act like this was market price.

I mean I'd much rather pay Ingles $13 mil per year than Bazemore $16-19 mil per year or Evan Turner $17 mil per year, they're all role players.

Yeah he gave them a bargain just as Livingston did with the Warriors. He probably could have got 12 mil yearly on a different team on a 2 year deal.

Ingles is a quality starter that fits into the Jazz's offense. Ingles is also young (in his 20's) while Korver's 36 (and doesn't play a lick of defense). Korver's going to be 37 at the end of the season on the first deal of his contract. This is a bad signing.
