You just don't sit on your ass and quit on the off season if you don't get your first option which is what you're pretty much asking Miami to do. You try and go after your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th options. You don't take your ball and go home

Good defense and shooting from a role player for $13 million per year isn't that bad. Most NBA players get paid too much anyways. I'd say the Clippers signing Blake to that huge contract was worse.

He averaged 7ppg and under 3rpg in 26mpg.....the MLE is about 8 million per year. He probably deserved that but they overpaid him by 5 million per.

Utah really wants to show Gordon they're committed to winning. You almost never see a team sign one of their players who is a RFA so early in July. They almost always wait for another team to offer that player a contract and decide if they want to match.

Exactly. That is standard money for a role player. I have no issues with that deal at all. Amir Johnson just got 11 mil. Ingles is better than Johnson IMO.

No reason IMO to think it means anything as far as Hayward.
If Hayward knew he wanted to stay in Utah he wouldn't meet with other teams.

He got Austin Rivers money.
