The only can't miss prospect I've seen is Lebron.

Ball, for all intents and purposes seems like he'll be the real deal. My concern for him is his body type (needs to put on good weight) along with his lack of defense.

But as has been mentioned before, there have been other players that have a projected upside similar to Ball's that end up as busts.

That's why Heat fans never really get on Riley too much and we had the arguments with Wiggy regarding draft positioning. High lottery picks don't always pan out. Riley always likes to go with established guys that he feels he can get even more out of that have a more mature attitude (see guys like D. Russell who's now in Brooklyn).

Agree 100%

If Exum doesn't take a step forward next year, he goes into the MCW category.

I love long PGs/combo guards.

So, I am hoping Levert can be the next Penny and Ball can be everything Livingston would have been.

I'll be surprised if PG-13 is in Indy all year. I'll actually be a little surprised if he isn't traded before the season. I can't imagine Indy wants to go through an entire season of him being booed at home. But, they also wouldn't be the first FO we've seen cut off their nose to spite their face.

The only way that bringing him in as a 1 year rental makes any sense is if you are a contending team that doesn't give up much for him. It would make sense for the Cavs because Lebron's title window is closing, so I could see them not caring if he's a 1 year rental.

The Celtics might decide it's worth a shot if they don't have to give up much more than picks for him.

The only other team might be the Spurs, especially if they are serious about unloading LA. Although, getting him as a 1 year rental wouldn't seem very "Spurs-like."

I think this trade possibility would make the most sense. The Celtics send Tyler Zellar, James Young, Amir Johnson & a future 3rd round pick to Indy for PG.

I think next years ROY will be a player from Philly that's been injured & sitting on the bench for a year or 2.
If Embiid plays 60 games, Simmons won't even be the best player in that roster.

I doubt he will though.

Things are really looking up in Philly.

But, I'd be scared SHITLESS to give Joel an extension This Summer.

I don't know man.

I hear the Lakers are keeping a sign and trade for Swaggy P straight up as their best and final offer. That would be nearly impossible to pass up. Heck, they could probably get the Warriors to part with KD for that.

I was hoping we'd trade the #2 pick for PG but am pretty happy they kept it.....I'm hoping Magic steps out of h the FO and spends some time on the court mentoring him and working with him. That'd help his development a lot.

I do agree that with this current group as long as their big 4 is together for the next 4 years, it would be a disappointment for them to not win at least win 2 of the next 4 championships.....Now if one of those guys leave then it is a different story.

I think they win the next 2 for sure (assuming good health). After that Klay can leave, and one year after Dray can leave. I have a feeling both will do so, but obviously happy to be wrong. Depending on what their team looks like if Klay leaves they might still win another. But without Dray AND Klay it would surprise me.

I'm waiting for Embiid to get injured while watching preseason game film.

This will be Swappy P's breakout year. With no distractions like Russell taping him this will be the year for Swappy P dominance. I can see him averaging 38.8 ppg & leading his Lakers to worse than a 6 seed. Finally his talents will shine brightly in the big lights Los Angeles.

I heard an interview with Luke where he was asked about that very thing. Said he expects Magic will be pretty "hands on" when it comes to Lonzo and that he (Luke) welcomes it.

Afflalo ends up on GS if Iggy leaves imo....

Iggy is staying, I already told you if they get Afflalo it's Livingston replacement not Iggy.

Then the MJ vs. SP debate can begin in earnest.

The early rumors are LeBron will leave the Cavs & play for the Lakers after next year correct? If so how would a move to the Lakers help LeBron find a more dynamic trio w/ their current roster? I mean I know the Lakers got Lavar Ball now but that ain't gonna be enough to beat the Warriors or Spurs.:D

Not sure if serious but the LeBron to LA thing is predicated on Paul George signing there which seems a lock, and LA getting 1 more star to sign there (Carmelo?) or trading for one more star.
