And nobody pays attention to the Dbacks per usual.
Yeah Goldschmidt is the NL MVP right now. Should definitely be starting. I don't think they have any other All-Stars in their lineup besides him, but they should get Greinke. Also Ray or Bradley, depending on how many starters/relievers Joe Maddon decides to bring.

All the current starters are deserved all-stars except for Heyward.

I don't have many issues with the vote leaders, but I do think having anyone other than Arenado at 3rd is laughable. This guy is arguably the best player in the NL right now. Fan voting is one of the things that makes the All-star game a joke.

Easily the best player in the NL? That's quite the exaggeration. Goldschmidt and Seager have been better this year.

Okay that's fine. I voted for Arenado but he hasn't separated himself so far from the pack at 3rd that it's laughable for someone else to start. 3rd base is pretty deep in the NL.

And I have no problem with fan voting when the game doesn't matter. Ironically, now that the game doesn't matter, the fans are doing their best job voting.

You don't think there's separation between Arenado and Bryant? In what way is anyone else even close?

I didn't post this yesterday. Was hoping Alonso would keep his lead.

I never said there isn't separation. I said he hasn't separated himself so far that it's laughable to vote for anyone else. Bryant and Arenado have the exact same wOBA while Arenado plays at Coors. So I'd give the edge, offensively, to Bryant. Now, I think Arenado's defense makes up the gap, but it's not like Bryant is incompetent at 3rd. And I wouldn't even have Bryant 2nd, I would have Rendon.

Jake Lamb is a no doubter imo

Not with how deep 3rd base is in the NL. Arenado, Rendon, and Bryant. And Turner has played 19 fewer games, but he's been an absolute stud there as well.

The difference in the chase for the Wildcard in the AL & NL is pretty said.

In the AL, the A's who are dead last are only 7 GB.

In the NL, the first team on the outside looking in is 8.5 out. There are 6 teams in the NL who can say on June 23rd they have no shot at making the playoffs while in the AL all 15 teams are in the race still. Either division or Wildcard
