Well he's going to be 26 when he hits free agency. Stanton was 25 when he signed his 13-year, $325 million contract extension. And that was with just one team bidding, and not the market setting the price. Plus Harper will have significantly more playing time under his belt while being a better player. Cabrera got an 8-year deal worth $31 million per year that started at the age of 33, so 7 years older than Harper when his contract starts. So 15 for 500 million doesn't seem crazy to me.
