Didn’t you have a f-150 with a roush blower on it?

I’ve been looking at blowers for mine but leaning toward whipple over roush.

I kinda like this one better. My friend has this one and it seems to create more power with less boost.

Edelbrock F-150 E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger Kit T534361 (04-08 2WD 5.4L F-150)

Now if you don't care what it looks like and just want the most bang for your buck go with a pro charger...

Procharger F-150 High Output Intercooled Supercharger Kit w/ P-1SC-1 1FN211-SCI (04-08 5.4L F-150)

But yeah, to your original point....can't go wrong with a whipple....

With all the new excitement following the coming of the new Bronco, the older Broncos are becoming more and more valuable.

Take this one for example....very rare and worth a ton of money if restored properly.

Velocity Restorations takes old Broncos and restores them to customer's specifications.

The prices on those rides start at $169,000 and top out at nearly $240,000 depending on what you want. The company buys lots of rundown Ford Broncos to have for customers who want one of its high-end restorations.

Velocity has one very rare vintage Ford Bronco up for sale that can be restored into whatever you want. The vehicle is a 1966 Ford Bronco U13 Roadster. This is the version of the Bronco that looks like a very short, single cab pickup.

The buyer can get any of the three standard Ford Bronco restoration packages meaning a Ford 302 cubic inch V8 is available as is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 from the modern Mustang. Various suspension lifts and custom interiors are offered, and you can choose any Bronco color from the era. With enough money Velocity Restorations will do whatever you want to this rare Bronco.

I wanted to put one into that 1971 Mustang I had. You have to redo everything though. Even the body can't handle that torque...especially a unibody.

Well... not to quibble, but...I'll quibble.

The article states that the Coyote is available in the F-150 at a 395hp/400ft-lb rating and the only other V8 Ford has is the new Supercharged 5.2 that will debut in the GT500.

Evidently they completely overlooked the 460 HP Coyote in the Mustang GT (480 HP in the Bullitt) or the 526 HP 5.2 in the GT350.

While I highly doubt Ford would put either 5.2 in the Bronco, I could see them put the 460 or 480 hp version Coyote in something labeled "Raptor".

Hmmmm....maybe the new Bronco will be built on the F150 platform and not the Ranger platform as previously thought.

Case in point....

What the f@&k is this?

What you see above appears to be an F150 with Raptor skins on the fenders.

Only problem is this sort of vehicle, short cab with short bed in Raptor clothes....does not exist. They don't make such a truck.

This is obviously a "mule" and it may in fact be a mule for the new Bronco.

First thought upon seeing these spy photos was that this is some sort of Ranger-based prototype, but that doesn't fit what we see.

The current Ranger has a track width of 61.4 inches, far narrower than the roughly 74-inch track width of today's F-150 Raptor.

Even the Ranger Raptor, the badass off-road variant that Ford sells in a handful of global markets (but not in the US), has a track width more than six inches narrower than the Raptor's. And yet, the wheels on the Raptor-based prototype you see here sit fully flush in the wheel wells, the same way they do on a production-spec F-150 Raptor.

Just how short is that wheelbase? A very rough estimate, using the 17-inch diameter of the wheels as a guideline, puts this prototype's wheelbase at around 108 inches. That's mighty short for a pickup truck. But it's right in the ballpark of the last F-150-based full-size Bronco, which had a wheelbase of 104.7 inches.

All of which leads us to believe (or at the very least, hope) that Ford might be testing the underpinnings of a full-size two-door Bronco built on a modified F-150 frame.

That seems unusual because, in the past, Ford has confirmed that the long-promised return of the Bronco will be build on the T6 platform that currently underpins the midsize Ranger. Ford has never made any mention of a full-size Bronco.

Could the Blue Oval be working on a surprise return of the big-boy Bronco?

When reached for comment, a Ford spoke person would only tell us that oft-repeated line: "We do not comment on future product."

The motor in the GT 350 is the VooDoo Coyote....it has a flat plane crankshaft that allows it to turn higher RPMs with a shorter stroke than the normal Coyote motor with the crossplane crankshaft.

I would love to put one of these engines in a 69 ford F150. Nothing sounds as good as a flat plane cranked V8....nothing. You can rev that bitch up to 8500 RPMs and each piston releasing it's exhaust gasses one by one, as opposed to how a cross plane cranked motor does.

Ever hear a Ferrari or Lotus V8 race car? They too have these flat plane crank motors in them. Sound awesome!

Yes, had the opportunity to hot lap a Ferrari California a year ago. Great car, great sound. My boss, actually my boss's boss, bought a GT350. Tremendous motor. I was shocked at the amount of torque down low knowing it would rev so high. All around Great car. But he's a dick. Stalls it like a douche bag. While I do not think the 5.2 Voodoo would make a great F-150 Raptor engine, a bit of weight off of it and it would be great in the Ranger Raptor/Bronco Raptor.

The 5.0 and 5.2 flat plane and cross plane cranks share the same stroke at 93 mm (3.66 in) while the 5.2 has a larger bore, 94 mm vs 92.2 mm.

Bronco will be a sub-brand of Ford - not a singular vehicle.
