Thats the feeling I got after listening to his speech. I was hoping it was just me reading more into it, but you are confirming my thoughts. There is a maybe a possibility he plays 1 more and then retires. It does not sound like he will wait 5 months to play the French next year.

At least he got his 18th before then.

I don't care which player you prefer more, both of these guys are class acts.

Here's Roger Federer, who played his 100th Australian Open match tonight, accepting his winner's trophy:

I don't think either one of us believed we would be in the Australian Open final when we saw each other four or five months ago. … Tennis is a tough sport, and there are no draws, but if I could have had one, it would have been tonight."
