I know, different year, different surface, but still disappointing. After FED won the first set, seemed like he could finally beat Nadal at the FO.

This was more about the first 2 sets. This 3rd set has been great for Fed, but we are missing those epic points. It seems to be most of the winners are not after a rally.

Fed is about to go up 2-1 in sets.

Completely disagree.
If Rogers shots are ON today, and they definitely are, then he should definitely hit sharper shots rather than "take the net out of play" as the dummy commentator said. Making sure to not miss in the net is playing into Nadal's hands and should only be done if you're A-game isn't with you. Fed has hid A game with him today. He is employing the right tactics. Missing in the net is fine. Shorter rallies are fine. I think today's tennis is pretty damn good.
