I suppose you can point at the UM and claim idiotic and reckless spending. But, afterall, this is the NCAA. Still...Saban has what, 4 National Championships, and Meyer has one at OSU...and Khaki pants is paid more! It sure can't be for results. "1-4" against main rivals MSU and OSU. Split two bowl games. I'm sure Brady Hoke or Speedy Rodriguez could have done just as well. If the Wolverines wanted to spend big money on a NAME coach...why not put a mannequin of Fritz Crisler* on the sideline and donate the $9mil to helping UM students. Besides....anyone who has watched any of the UM games KNOWS that Def Coordinator Don Brown is the real head coach of the team.

Harbaugh will be feeling the pressure from alumni groups if this years team loses say 3-4 games (OSU could be vital to him if he drops a game or two before then).
Things may turn around for the Wolverines, but right now, it isn't a stretch to see them finish with an 8-4 record and accepting a trip to the Hungry Man Dinner Bowl in Greenbow, Alabama. A '1-5' record against OSU and State, no Big Ten titles.....that $9mil is going to look heavier and heavier.
