Is it too early to wonder how much Kyrie meant to LeBron in Cleveland? Cleveland is really struggling (admittedly without the guy who's supposed to be playing in Kyrie's spot) and Boston is doing ok even without Hayward.

Yes.

Cleveland is doing exactly what Cleveland has always done in the regular season.

Yes. Need to see what IT brings before making any determination on how much they miss Kyrie. I don't think they'll be as good as they would be if they still had Kyrie (Kyrie's a better player), but they will definitely be a better team when they get IT back.

Tomorrow, we finally get the much-anticipated match-up between the #1 team in the East and #1 team in the West.

Magic vs Grizzlies.

As an impartial observer of the NBA I gotta say the Lakers are playing some great defense right now. It's damn tough to hold opponents to only 108.8 ppg.

.....none of those 3 Teams are named Clippers.

So.....

They looked plenty Mighty last night.

Your Clippers need to upgrade the bench. I'm pretty sure Greg Oden, Jammin' Jimmer Fredette & Anthony Bennett are available.

Take it a step further and consider what the Celtics are doing on defense this young season.

You can't tell me that the C's just have that much better defensive talent than the Lakers do... in fact, the C's were supposed to regress on that end without Bradley and Crowder.

Nor can you tell me it's a matter of youth and inexperience for the Lakers... the C's are working in a sh!t ton of 1st and 2nd year players into their rotation.

It comes down to effort on the defensive end... and that's where good coaching comes into play. Bottom line is: a good coach like Stevens demands and gets way more out of his guys than lesser coaches do.

Look to Kyrie Irving as exhibit A. Dude has been a notoriously bad and uncaring defender in the past... 7 games in for the C's, and folks are now starting to talk about his much improved effort on that end.

It's only 7 games but he's actually got a defensive box plus-minus above 0 and his defensive rating is very good. He's having a very good season so far. 2.4 steals per game? Yeesh!

I was hoping no one would notice that the Warriors are playing bad. I wonder if anyone else has mentioned it. Is there a thread to discuss and bitch about the Warriors yet?

Change of scenary can do wonders. Especially without daddy Bron looking down on him.

I haven't seen a thread about how the Warriors have started the season. You should start one.
