When you are cap strapped, you don't always have choices. You bring in the best players available. Those tend to be vets willing to accept less money, which they got. Problem is, neither player really fits the Cavs system or their needs all that well. They need IT and they need perimeter defenders.

True. I didn't take into consideration that they are cash strapped. I'm not sure who was still available when they signed Wade and Rose, but I would think there would have been at least 1 defense first type vet available. Maybe not though.

Agree that neither one really fits with the Cavs system. They need to try to see if they can trade for some perimeter defense.

We are now officially at the disaster start of the season point now.

I'm assuming they beat Chicago on Wednesday. However they need to find a way to go 3-3 on this upcoming road trip. Anything else and they're in deep shit. Would almost be deja vu to last season

About the only good thing about Whiteside being out is that Bam got some valuable time and showed that he can play as the backup C right now. There were talks about him spending some time in the G-league prior to the Whiteside injury. Don't see that happening even when Hassan is healthy again

Yep Waiters looked like last year version of himself. Tyler is still playing like ass and JJ had a rough night.

I think they'll be fine once Hassan is back. Not like they're getting their ass kicked. Outside of the Spurs, their other 3 losses legit came down to the final 2 minutes. Could easily be 5-1 right now
