What makes a 3 point loss different lol

What makes a 3 point loss when you were up by 15 at halftime against the team that has kicked your ass out of the playoffs the past 2 seasons, in series that weren't really competitive who happened to be without 5 rotational players?

Other than an opportunity to send that team a message that this year is different, send that message on their home court and maybe put a little doubt in their minds in case you see them in the playoffs...

Not a thing.

The Raptors score 129 points and shot 54% on a back-to-back on the road in Cleveland. LeBron James had a historic night with 17 assist and 0 turnovers and the Raptors allowed the Cavs that shoot 60% yep we lost by 3 points on the road on a back-to-back. Yet some basketball fans when I say that this is an indication of everything which is absolutely ridiculous

Where were you when the Raptors beat the Cavs by 30 points earlier this season

We did send a message we score 229 points and shot 54% on the second night of a back-to-back on the road. And it took LeBron James having 17 assist and 0 turnovers for the Raptors to lose

How are the Nets still on pace with ORL, DAL, ATL, CHI, SAC, MEM?

All those teams are actively trying to lose games, where as the Nets have zero incentive to lose games. Yet there they are, right in middle of the pack of all the tanking teams.

Because they are freaking awful. Worst franchise in the NBA.

Like I said last summer, the moves they made taking on bad contracts and selfish players like Russell has actually set them back further. They have absolutely no direction.

Here's the problem with the Raptors, for years now they haven't found a way to even slow down Lebron and on top of that, they still allow Cleveland to kill them with the 3 ball as well.

They pick a way to defend the Cavs.

Either allow Lebron to get his and stay home on ALL the shooters or force the ball out of LBJ hands and make the rest of the team beat you. Can't allow both to happen which happens too frequently when they play Cleveland

Toronto's greatest hope is that they hold onto first place and the Celtics somehow beat the Cavs first. Of course, Toronto will have to make sure to not lose to the Sixers or Pacers, which I'm not sure they wouldn't.

Shannon Sharpe is my new hero and I might have to start watching his show.
Are you even a basketball fan cuz everything you say doesn't make sense

You were up 15 at halftime. Had a chance to send a message and went into playoff mode. It seems likely that you will be making these same excuses after the playoffs...again.

I don't think people should put as much stock into last night's game as some here have. It's one game.

However, if the Raptors lose again in 2 weeks to the Cavs, there is no way they are beating them in the playoffs.

The Cavs were also without 3 of their top 8 players. Trust me bro, a completely healthy cavs team and I wouldn't have any issues with what happened last night.

Just a game you can't lose considering you had a 15 point halftime lead and the Cavs were without several players.

Blew a 15 point halftime lead and choked repeatedly down the stretch against the team that has owned you in the last 2 playioffs.

Yep, you sent a message alright.

Last night's game is only meaningful if the Raptors believe it was meaningful.

There is a decent chance that they do.

I wouldn't play my starters if I'm Toronto. Losing that game would be too devastating. Can't risk it IMO
