It is quirky thing for Popovich, and it drives me crazy....but he just lets this team take beatdowns rather than try and force comeback.

Pop usually oncedes by the 2nd quarter to save aging legs for the next game if it looks like its not going to happen.

He is a stubborn old coot, and it probably pisses off the league, but he aint changing it..
As a fan, it drives me nuts. I cannot imagine how the players feel about the tactic.

No good team has as many total smackdowns like the Spurs do in the last two decades.
