Barkley said they're going to the WCF
Yeah, that's a step to far.

My Clippers have a tendency to crumble under high expectations.

Time will tell.

But, I'm really happy with Beverly.

When/if Milos gets healthy and Gallo's shot starts falling, the Clippers should be in good shape.

Gotta also say Baby Doc has really turned his career around.

Him coming back in after that gross as finger dislocation showed he is a tough little Fucker.

Kidd was one of the best point guards in the league for a while. Agreed on the defense, but Lonzo hasn't been bad defensively, that I've noticed.

Even as good as Kidd was, he never ended up leading his team to a championship (unless you count 2010-2011 but he was clearly past his prime at that point.) Regardless, if Lonzo turns into Kidd, I'm sure the Lakers would be very happy.

On the flip side, Lonzo could also end up being Ricky Rubio with rebounding skills for all we know. Lonzo turning into the next Jason Kidd is not the predestined conclusion to his development.
Agree.

Rubio on rebounding roids is a pretty good comparison too.

I still can't believe Houston gave up Pat. I think it will come back to bite them later. LOL at Dray being a b!tch.

'sides, who's to say if he DID join the Lakers(a TRULY nightmare scenario) he wouldn't decline in a HUGE way conidering he's pushing his mid-30's...?

oh, and there's the factor of DESPISE i just might have for him...

but it's only slight...

no, really...

I honestly don't get that. Assuming he is going to fall off a cliff is a big mistake. He is 32 and arguably the finest physical specimen the game has ever seen.

Me may not be the best player in the league, but my bet is that he will still be a top 10, maybe even top 5 player 3-4 years from now. His size, strength and knowledge will allow him to age more gracefully than most.

Besides, the truly transcendent generational players (MJ, Kareem, LeBron, Tom Brady, etc.) don't always follow the same age regression plans that mere mortals do.

Tony Parker says in an interview that he doesn't mind coming off the bench at all if it's what Pop wants.

So if Murray continues playing like he has so far, they should be loaded if Parker comes off the bench.

Murray/Green/Kawhi/Aldridge/Gasol
Parker/Mills/Manu/Gay/Lauvergne on the bench.

This team is deeper than I thought, honestly.

Yeah. Pretty good.

Somehow, they seem to improve every year even when they have a bland off season like this past year.

I didn't expect Green to work so hard on his game and add something new to it, either. So that's a huge help. Aldridge is stepping up as well, but I'm wondering what will happen when Kawhi comes back. Will he actually accept taking a backseat again?

I think Kawhi would accept anything the team asked him to do.

But let's be real, he isn't going to be asked to take a backseat. He is an elite player.

I think honestly it's a horrible move for the regular season. It puts unnecessary wear and tear on Lebron, Love and Crowder having to bang with bigger bodies. You don't need that kind of punishment. In the post-season though, I think it would work out well nicely for them going smaller and being more versatile. But it's something you can also practice in the regular season like the Warriors do. The Warriors don't go "small" to start the game or even play extended minutes with a small lineup. Generally it's the last 5 or 6 minutes (or less) of the 2nd and 4th quarters if necessary. The Warriors small lineup wasn't used much during the course of the regular season. Rolling this small lineup this early for the Cavs gives teams more advantage on how to play against this lineup, instead of it being a change of pace.

The regular season is all about getting through it as healthy and with as little wear and tear as possible. Now I'm sure TT will still get a big chunk of minutes upwards of 30 a night, but from a principle stand point I don't agree with it for the Cavs team. Really think that if they go with this lineup, this early in the season, it'll hurt them in the long run.

City you are smart...

Ty Lue just moved TT back to the starting lineup for the Pelicans game and then said this...

"I think it's better, too, because having Kevin bang with those big guys, it's wearing him out for his shot and having to (guard) all the pick-and-rolls, it's a lot of energy to ask of Kevin, especially when he has to be one of our primary scorers. So getting Tristan back in that lineup, the bigs, he's used to setting screens, rolling, creating space for other guys. It's what we're going to go with right now."

I thought he meant LA taking a backseat to Kawhi.

Yeah. I misread. That makes a lot more sense.

In theory though, he may not have to. Kawhi doesn't need the ball in his hands constantly to impact the game. They could still run the offense through Aldridge and it could help Kawhi's efficiency even more.

Pfff...the Lakers are a storied franchise, so Laker fans aren't desperate for wins. I'm with @ChiefsLakers67 and would hate to see him go to the Lakers.
Every fan should want their team to win. I'd love to see Mark Cuban sign LBJ but unfortunately he seems more interested in running for President than improving the team's chances for success.

Correction: Boogie hates Cp3.

Hopefully, all that petulance transferred over to the Red Rockets.

Cousins, speaking with Bill Simmons of Grantland, was talking about Blake Griffin when the Kings center turned the discussion to Paul.

  • Simmons: “I thought you guys had a little beef, right?”
  • Cousins: “Nah.”
  • Simmons: “Nothing?”
  • Cousins: “Just a little rivalry, but I don’t have a problem with Blake.”
  • Simmons: “Didn’t you guys almost get in a fight once?”
  • Cousins: “No.”

  • Cousins: “No.”
  • Simmons: “There was some talking?”
  • Cousins: “Probably me and CP, but not me and Blake. I don’t have a problem with Blake.”
  • Simmons: “Oh, you’re one of the guys who doesn’t like – there’s a lot of guys who CP kind of bugs.”
  • Cousins: “Yeah, I dislike CP a lot.”

Yeah, I knew he hated Chris Paul. Maybe that's where his hate for the Clippers came from in the past.
