@bksballer89 , @Scapegoat ....

Would it be a culture killer if the Thunder kicked the tires on Monta on a 10 day deal?

They need some bench scoring.

I guess @HurricaneDij39 , @CitySushi , @msgkings322 would know better, how deep this dudes issues run.

But, how fucked up must he and Brandon Jennings be if teams keep giving that mental midget, Derek Rose, deals and they are out of the NBA?

Monta’s not a culture killer or anything like that. I just think he’s done as an NBA player. He regressed pretty heavily the last few years. Could have been burn out from the monster minutes he played for the Warriors as a young player.

I was a big Monta fan when he was on the team, but with the pacers he became almost unplayable. Sad to see but think his playing days in the NBA are over.

Lebron the Goat at using the media to his advantage.

Hates teammates and can see declining energy from team.
Decides to mail it in for a few weeks. Cavs losing.
Leaks he’s going to leave for the Warriors.
Half the team is traded.
Lebron “revitalized” by the trade and now Cavs blow out the Celtics.

Genius.

I think the Warriors will have a hard time winning the title if they don't make changes to their bench.
I would just alter that to say bench production. It I agree, without bench contribution I could see the Warriors not making the finals. Really hoping Javale can give this team some energy and also hope Iguodala and just one of McCaw/Young/Casspi can be a consistent scorer. Weird to say but this is where Ian Clark is sorely missed this year.

They could have, but everyone had been lowballing them. This was likely the best deal possible. Looks like it's one of those trades that was good for both teams. Each got exactly what they wanted/needed.

... only if the off-season goes well for the Lakers. I remember the article that talked about how in the last 5 years the Lakers gameplan was to wait for a top free agent to sign with them. Last week -- there was the article about them waiting 1 more year for those free agents. At some point, they should try to win games.

Everyone should give Koby Altman props. He had balls to make those moves. (especially with an annoying owner like Gilbert looking over his shoulder) Most GMs would have been more conservative.

Jordan Bell is a good energy guy too along with obvious skill

If they don't land top FA's this off-season, they'll save the cap space for next year. The last 5 years, Jim Buss was in charge and the Lakers FO was laughed at. Now they have Magic and Pelinka who seem to understand that players aren't going to come just because "we're the Lakers."

As for winning games, this season was about development and seeing which of the young guys they were going to keep. Next year, even if they don't land any FA's, is when they'll start looking for more wins.

They're also on pace to win 30+ games, which is more than most predicted for them.

Yep and it's almost like he knew something was going to happen on the deadline because I saw a different Bron against Minnesota Wednesday night (on the 2nd night of a B2B)

Jump on twitter and see people fawning over Jordan Clarkson as if he hasn't been getting bucktes off the bench. I take it he had a good game, because I missed it

Wow Utah up 25 in Portland. This team is a serious threat for that final spot.

Between the Clippers, Pelicans, and Jazz they have to be the favorite.

Yep they been on fire since Gobert came back. They're actually the hottest team in the league assuming they hold on. Will be their 9th straight win

And during the 9 game win streak they've beaten the Raptors, Spurs, and Blazers on the road along with crushing the Warriors at home. Not just beating bad teams.

I'm somewhat surprised they haven't picked up a piece in the buyout market. It's early still but it's got to be concerning when you see Brandon Wright AND Joe Johnson go to Houston. Even Belineli could have helped. But with the Rockets out there, I wouldn't feel too comfortable with just Livingston and Iggy for a playoff bench. McCaw has been ass this year despite looking promising last year. Nick Young is Nick Young, essentially useless 4 out of 5 times you call on him. How has no team called Terrance Jones? Is that kid totally washed already?

Yep, I said the same a week ago.

Donavan Mitchell is unreal.

Seriously, I know it hurt them to lose Hayward.

But, this kid is a freaking revelation.

Not sure he would have gotten this much time to develop had they had a healthy Hayward, Hood, Burke, Johnson and Gobert.

Along with Kawhi and Blake, he's my most favorite player to watch.
