I wouldn't say that, necessarily... I would say that IT's frustrations probably went well beyond Love... and included the fact that the Cleveland Cav's (as a whole) put forward uneven effort during the regular season and, furthermore, leadership there doesn't seem particularly concerned with that state of affairs.
...and that's fair.

But, you don't step your little ass in front of the camera every night giving sound bites when you are part of the problem.

I think that's where IT went wrong. What he said in the meeting was fine since everyone usually speak their mind in those things but the fact that he continuously made comments to the media afterwards was the issue

What's he contract most think IT will get? Settle for 10-12 million per, maybe 2-3 years?
His best hope is a 1 year Redick/KCP placeholder deal.

Multi-year?

Sub 15.

Lou Williams set the market for 1-way players.

He took below the midlevel.

^ This is fair, too. He was a vocal leader in Boston, and he was still trying to be that guy in LeBronland.

In fairness to IT, though, his problem has never been a lack of effort or caring. He just has an extreme physical limitation (size) that prevents from being a good NBA defender.

So, yes, he was part of the overall problems... but lack of caring is a totally different issue that deserves a different set of rules, IMO.

Yeah, LeBron likes to play puppeteer with the media with his riddles.

Isiah put it all out there...lol

One great thing came of all this.

Wade County is as it should be.

He's never leaving again and that means being very reasonable when it comes to his Salary, role on the team.

Oh, yeah I agree with you.

I didn't mean to suggest he didn't care.

The guy obviously loves the game and wants to win.

He's just at a significant physical disadvantage.

Very true. I think he know he is washed now lol so he can't be too demanding about role/salary now

Just to be clear... I wasn't suggesting that you were suggesting that.

I was just trying to draw the distinction because this is what (IMO) gave IT the right to speak up... even though he wasn't playing particularly well himself.

Lack of caring/effort is a whole different matter, IMO.

I'm not going the DJ racist route.
Yeah, that was an awfully questionable throw of the old race card by our man @DJ there.

I guess when one is trying to win an argument on the internet... just toss that out, see if it sticks? :noidea:

I knew the dude was little, but somehowit didn't register completely until I saw him standing with the rest of the Lakers before the game last night. They had to have gotten his uniform from the toddlers section at Target. No way that uniform is any bigger than a T3.

This is a stretch....

Are you guys trying to claim that reverse racism isn't real?

I'll have you know that reverse racism is the only reason I didn't make it to the NBA.

The NBA is racist against people who lack height, talent and have limited leaping ability. If not for that, I would have made the NBA.

Lmfao....

Poor Midget Isiah.

I saw something interesting about his acquisition today.

He won't be a selling point with LeBron, per se.

But, the rest of the Free Agents as a super sub?

He has proven that he can recruit.

After years of wild spending, only a few teams have much cap room—and none as much as the Lakers. With the No. 1 pick they got from the Cavs (Cleveland’s own pick, not Brooklyn’s), the Lakers might even get someone to take Luol Deng’s $18 million a year, creating two max slots with $12 million left over. With necessary discounts from James’ $35 million and George’s $30 million, Thomas, on an expiring deal, could have a place here, not as a ball-dominating point guard but an explosive sixth man who could be a huge plus in today’s fast-paced, firepower-oriented, floor-spacing game.

The best part for the Lakers is that Thomas could work in any case, helping them recruit more stars, whether they land two, or one, or none. For the first time in a long time, their strategy isn’t hit-or-miss but flexibile. Thomas’ struggles returning from surgery dimmed the memory of his years leading the Celtics back into prominence, making him an icon among icons in their market. Coming off the bench would make Isaiah’s size easier to work around. It’s not something he would have embraced in Boston of Cleveland but he might here, knowing he has to find somewhere he fits in.

Oh, it's very real.

Unfortunately, My kids deal with it at least once a month, which is a decline from once a day when we lived in California.....lol

I just don't think that was the underlying factor with Love.

I think Dude was the easiest target.

But, just in case, Kyle Korver better hit the tanning salon....lol

@bksballer89 , @Scapegoat ....

Would it be a culture killer if the Thunder kicked the tires on Monta on a 10 day deal?

They need some bench scoring.

I guess @HurricaneDij39 , @CitySushi , @msgkings322 would know better, how deep this dudes issues run.

But, how fucked up must he and Brandon Jennings be if teams keep giving that mental midget, Derek Rose, deals and they are out of the NBA?

Wouldn't hurt. They already losing out on all the buyout players they could use. I would give Rose a call see if he's interesting.

He may be closer to 5-6 or 5-7......I'm 5-11 and he's more than a few inches shorter than me.
