...........but GMan, his O needs to be improved
No doubt that'd be nice... but can't expect too much out of the 2nd round rookie... if he can stand at the 3 pt line and hit 33.3% of his shots there, that might be the best we can hope for... for this year, anyways.

Petty or no?

Paul Pierce does not want to share his night with Isaiah Thomas when the Boston Celtics retire Pierce’s No. 34 jersey next month. Pierce said Thursday that he would prefer the Celtics not run their planned in-game tribute video for Thomas’ on-court return on February 11, the same night the Celtics will send Pierce’s jersey to the rafters following a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Very petty. If he's such a big bitch about it, get the Celtics to retire it another day.

After blowing out the Lakers George couldn’t stop praising LA while even subtly dissing OKC fans.

Glad you posted this. On the sports talk shows this morning people were apoplectic that it wasn't going to look good to PG and that it would hurt the chances of him going to the Lakers.

Then I heard a quote from him when asked if it would effect his decision and he basically said (paraphrasing)"No, this is a young team and they were playing without Lonzo. Games like this are going to happen to a young team."

Kyle Kuzma 9th amongst frontcourt players in the All Star voting
Lonzo Ball 8th amongst guards
Just imagine how good he will be in a few years after he has learned all of the basics in defense, offenses, picking and running the pick and roll. I was hoping he would get some votes on the All Star - He has worked incredibally hard. Once Lonzo Ball has adjusted his shooting, those two are going to be a nice combo. If Paul George signs with the Lakers this summer - the Lakers will make the playoffs.

The All star system is completely broken.

The new " double vote days" have made it absolutely ridiculous.

Ex .. Kuzma has twice as many votes as Jimmy Butler.

Before you say it's because of the Market he plays in, Ginosebleed almost has more votes than Lonzo and Kuzma...COMBINED.

Even if you miss on getting Lebron and George/Boogie, isn't it worth it to do a deal like this in order to drop Deng?

Or, is keeping Randle at top dollar worth enduring Deng for a couple of more years?

That contract is horrific. Gonna have to part with assets to have it disappear completely.

The prevailing thought is if the Lakers packed in Julius Randell and a future first-round pick, the Mavericks might have the right combination of ending contracts to get the Lakers where they want to be next summer. League sources said there had been zero talks about a Deng deal with the Mavericks, but history has shown the Mavericks don’t have much issue trading within Conference. If the return is right for the Mavericks, they have in the past been open to helping another team shed cap money if it’s in their favor, which makes them a team to watch at the deadline.

NBA DAILY: Where Will The Bottom NBA Teams Go?

Absolutely worth it, imo. I love Randle, but with Nance and the emergence of Kuzma, it creates a bit of logjam. Randle is absolutely at his best when he plays center in a small ball lineup. The problem is they're not likely to use the small ball lineup enough to get him the minutes he wants.

Worst case, they do this deal, clear enough cap space to land 2 max FA's, don't land them and are left with another year to develop their kids and still have a ton of cap space to go big game hunting in the following off season.

Exactly!

I was led to believe that all Lakers fans were irrational.

Da fuq is wrong with you?

Trade them all but Ball, Kuzma, Nance, Hart, KCP (he comes off the books after the season), Bryant, and Zublacka

If you add just PG to this young Lakers team (and assuming their natural maturity and progression) this is a 40-42 win team.

Add another semi-superstar (maybe somebody just below max level, 20-23 mill per season) and they win 49-50 games.

Hmmmmmmmmm......

That kinda surprises me, too, but Roberson is out and OKC played last night, so maybe that's why. Also, Austin Rivers is out, so maybe the Clips play even better than usual. LOL.
