I am really starting to think Durant is going to GS.

Ibaka is not a great player, but he did fit the Thunder perfectly. Sabonis and Oladipo are high quality assets, but redundant pieces for OKC. The Thunder are not better off in the short term for making this trade, and the short term may be all that matters.

If Durant stays, he still has to go through SA or LAC just to get to GS and then to face Cleveland. That is an uphill battle. Signing in GS would make the Thunder irrelevant and basically pave the way for the Warriors to cruise to another LeBron rematch.

The Lakers have 60 million.

They don't have to wait for shit.

Offer KD a max, still have a max for Whiteside and 10 million in change for a bench guy.

They have little shot at Durant. But, it costs them little to try.
That would be the ideal scenario, but much like Aldridge last year, I get the feeling that if we thought that we had a chance at KD, we would cancel all other plans until Durant made a decision

Yes. And I think they traded Iblocka for what they got as a contingency plan in case KD leaves.

If so, that is a Huge mistake. If Durant leaves, Westbrook soon follows. You don't make contingency plans when you have the inside track to resign your guy and a championship caliber roster.

Going to lunch with lady #2 after she gets out of church and drives out here from Moreno Valley.

I don't know what elite means. Top 5? Top 10? I do know Butler is at least Top 20, which is better than okay.

For that Team?

He'd be a excellent addition as long as he stayed in his lane.

My fear is that he would go into " My Team " mode and be the anti-veteran presence that they need.

They have plenty of offense already. They need defense and a guy that can hold them together when under pressure on the court.

Garnett can do it in practice or in the locker room. But, he's finished on the court.

If you look at their roster.....they are loaded with SG/SF types and may go with a small ball lineup if he bolts. They have Waiters, Oladipo, Roberson, and Morrow. Not to mention Singler.

Maybe at the sf position.

But, even if he came, you'd still need a Center.

OKC could sign a max guy if KD leaves......they could be a player in free agency. They only have 60 million in salaries without KD.
