We've seen it from tits & ass but then it's followed up 100% by a few games of wtf. I thought the same thing when he wasn't voted Cpt. Might be just what he needs, help them win instead of losing, a real leader doesn't need an election

Fyfe had a similar game that TA had, so it's a combination of TA being bad along with a HORRIBLE game plan by Riley. Expect more of the same crap this year. I read that the practices have looked like Pac 12 style practices offensively, so the future for Nebraska doesn't look all that bright if this is true.

too lazy to make another thread, man i didn't realize the season Stanton had at a Juco. Ex-Nebraska quarterback Johnny Stanton to start for UNLV in season opener

Stanton earned junior college first-team All-American honors last season at Saddleback College after completing 63 percent of his passes (293-for-465) for 3,471 yards and 27 TDs and rushing for 747 yards and 12 TDs.

Not trolling here, I'm seriously curious. Who was the last QB that you were happy with? Seems like (myself included) that it's been at least a decade since a QB has been overwhelmingly appreciated and accepted at NU.

Zac Taylor? Ganz?

And I would even argue that Crouch wasn't overwhelmingly accepted by Husker Nation after the whole Newcombe thing

He left well before fall camp last season, makes a guy wonder what DL saw of the qb room and what he told him. He certainly could have helped us then and now

Ganz was my dude. I think he'd be a perfect fit for this offense. So would Zac Taylor, who's receiving corps was a joke compared to what we have now.

I'm a bit concerned about Tommy not being a captain, to be honest.

My worry is that now he's going to feel the need to go out and prove himself so he's gonna be going for even more big plays.

I guess what i'd like to believe is this was the teams way of telling him that he's not that guy and that he doesn't need to be.

Let's be honest, even when healthy (which is rare) MRI hasn't exactly set the world on fire. On the other hand, Newby has been tearing up fall camp. Our depth at LB seems significantly better than the MASH unit we had last year though.
