Oh man its been the same here. 90+ and humid. Right now it doesn't know what it wants to do in Lincoln. Off and on heavy rain. But tomorrow the high is only spouse to be 79. I am ready for fall. I think we have about 29 days
I've been jonesing for some ribs but it is just to damned hot to be outside messing with fire.

Also built a nice fire ring in the back yard last spring out of river rock, used it two weekends and then it got too hot for that. It's supposed to get down to 72 Sunday night. That's a start. If we get evenings in the 70's then it's time to get back out back again. Out there with some golden oldies, cold brews and bbq. Nothin better.

Zach Darlington as holder?!!?! I like it. That will have some interesting aspects.

I know, stating the obvious. Definitely going to be Field Goal fakes.

The offense will score, my interest is the entire defense.

New D Line. Will there be a pass rush? Can the run be stopped?
Can LBers cover anyone? Especially Banderas.
Will the pass defenders be able to hold out long enough?

The Nebraska Oregon game, bet the over.

You would think having the godfather of modern day strength and conditioning at your disposal would lead to immediate results, Boyd however stated it would take a few years in an actual program of his to see the numbers in his brainchild "index" that would translate to on field performance increases.

Another logic is that Dobber had the same performance lab, which he never used, and the same godfather, albeit one year, who was encouraged to keep his sausage fingers completely out of the football program.

One of these directives is not like the other. I'm leaning toward following the guy who invented S&C even with a small sample size of just the one year, aside from his other 40 yr resume

There were so many shake your head things but we already knew he was a stubborn my way or the highway guy. Just glad he finally found the highway and I think we're on the right trajectory now.
Just need his jimmies and joes and maybe a little tweaking of the staff still. We'll see. You can see already the o line looks a lot better then when we were scrap bookin'.

Damn you make it sound pretty bleak.
Pass rush was non-existent yes. Has to get better, lots better
We were stopping the run. Don't expect much of a drop with the young'uns.
Stacked at lb, all starters returning. Think Banderas is going to have his breakout year.
How long does the secondary have to hold out? Fixing the pass rush will fix the secondary.

Zach is just one guy vying for the job of holder. I just thought it was a funny tweet. he does seem like a good option, he has experience from HS and good hands being WR/former QB.

Not really the way i like to hear the first full pad practice go. i heard it was sluggish, of course the heat might have played into that. just nasty crazy hot and humid yesterday.

Heard about this from DB on his show this morning. he was just kinda going off on sportswriters that would say TA threw a pick without context. Apparently Williams ripped the WR on the play for not getting out of his break very well, sounded like it was a come back route and TA threw it to a spot and Jones beat the WR there.

also MRI injured again, tweeked a knee or something.

DB said it might have been on a play where Knevel just completely destroyed a Dlineman and had the guy "on skates" and might have ran into MRI.

a guy with knee issues changing his name so his initials are MRI always seemed really dumb to me

I'm not about to rip TA up over a practice however he's earned the bad rep by throwing pick balls all over the field, he could change this easily

I will take throwing Pick sixes in practice as news to being way better than any injury type of news.

Hopefully, when you practice that makes you better for a game. Right?

And if I would have read further, we get the injury news.

Women's VB just beat Serbia!!! The cousin is getting closer to having an Olympic medal to go with her Pan Am Gold Medal. Holy crap.

I'm kinda all in on Ozigbo being the starter. the dude just seemed like the best option when he was getting reps last year and this offseason it just seems like he's worked even harder. from the tweet Brasky posted above with him breaking some ankles on Young during passing drill to this article:
HuskerOnline.com - Ozigbo determined to be 'the guy' in Huskers' backfield

here's another tweet, Ozigbo drops the pass (well looks like he let it get too much in on his body and it bounces off the pads) and then Young knocked it out.
