Salary cap for 2016 set at $155.27 million per team
The cap is supposedly set for $155.27M, which is a bit short of estimates that it would hit $160M this year. According to Over The Cap, our cap number right now sits at $147M, which would put us about $8M under. But, we're getting about $8M more from last year's cap number and the $2M an arbitrator ruled that each team would get from the ticket monies the NFL hid from the NFLPA. That would mean we're about $16M under right now. With "Bob" getting cut or traded, that'll clear another $16M, and thus create about $32M in cap room.
With further restructurings and cuts, that number can go grow to more than $40M.
