After the fans, players and media select the starters, and the coaches select the reserves, replacement players are chosen by the league office. Melo makes the most sense for his broad appeal and long-standing respect with the players and coaches, though there were clearly more deserving candidates. Most notably, Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal comes to mind. Beal is averaging 22 points and 3.7 assists shooting 39.9 percent from 3-point range. Hassan Whiteside, Al Horford and Jae Crowder are other players worthy of consideration.

It's whatever. Melo's getting shitted on right now, I'm fine with him getting the nod.

I guess the Kings aren't the only team to lose to the Bulls because of a bad call.

Moral of the story is to not play close games in Chicago

If you recall, Wade got a bullshit call when Bulls played here.
I don't think it actually cost us the win, but I'm pretty sure it took away our chance to tie or win it.

Maybe you don't, but I certainly do. A couple fans on here (Shaqdaddy & TLF), but mainly what I'm talking about was on twitter/youtube comment sections/social media, Lakers fans were and still are comparing the two. Why in the hell would I make that up?

Your first mistake was taking anything TLF said seriously. Your 2nd mistake was citing social media. Your 3rd mistake was bringing it here where, again, you were taking TLF seriously.

Yes, it is early in their respective careers, but Booker's already getting 21 PPG on more efficient shooting than Russell as a 20 year old. I still like DLo's future, but Booker is, in my opinion at least, lightyears ahead of Russell. Could that change? Sure.

Personally, I like both of their futures. Also, you are putting too much emphasis on their scoring. Russell is asked to do different things than Booker. For one, the Suns need Booker to score more than the Lakers need Russell to score.

Also, Booker averages more points, but Russell averages more assists and more rebounds. Their eFG% (which accounts for 3 pointers being worth 1 more point than a 2 pointer) is very close (47.8 for Booker and 46.9 for Russell. Additionally, those are their numbers for this year. Their career numbers are even closer.

Booker is definitely ahead of Russell, but "light years ahead" is a pretty big stretch. So, you are, of course, welcome to your opinion, but the numbers don't back you up.

Finals???
You mean Final.

Anyway, I agree. Cavs don't win last year with Bird, UD, or Anthony.

But, how did the Heat win twice with them, and make the Finals the other 2 years if the Heats roster wasn't better/deeper?

Check mate.

I agree with MOST of this post, but i think @Arizona_Sting 's point was in a roundabout way more to the fact- that at this point- the Suns would never trade Booker for Russell- and the Lakers would immediately trade Russell for Booker without even really thinking about it.

Wouldnt you agree?

The Pacers ended the 1st half on a 6 game losing streak which now has the Bulls right on their ass for the 6th spot.

LeBron was supposedly "losing his shot" right?

39% from 3 this year. Shot 55% from the field in January and 63% in February thus far.

His efficiency was way down his first year in Cleveland, but that makes sense- a new team, new coach, all new teammates, - a coach who's system wasnt really what LeBron wanted to do at all. etc....

Give LeBron the time to get continuity going, the same teammates for a while, a coach who's system he likes, and now he has the ability to focus on his efficiency and shooting a little more- rather than turning around a franchise.

Lets hope that him shooting 39% from 3 this year is a trend that will continue occuring going into the later years of his career.

im shocked the Wizards are the #3 seed and 13 games over .500 after their terrible start.

Is John Wall the best non-Cav in the East this season? I think he has a case. Otto Porter Jr. has stepped up to be one of the best 3 pt shooters in the league this season and a solid defender--- and Beale and healthy and producing and not settling for long 2's.

If the Wizards front office had any competence at all they would have been able to add another player or two to this core-

all of their core guys were drafted- Wall, Beale and Porter.....the best they have added through FA is Gortat and Mahimi? i mean, cmon. I think the Wiz are winning DESPITE a crap front office.

John Wall is better than Kyrie. He's the 3rd best player in the east this season
