Yep I would maybe put Kyrie 4th but not sure. IMO my top 5 out east looks like this.

1) LBJ
2) Wall
3) IT
4) Greek Freek
5) DeRozan or Kyrie

It's indisputable in my mind that both DeRozan and Lowry are better than Irving. But I've never bought into the hype around him. He's a good player but I don't see why there is a constant need to try to include him in discussions about the best players in the league.

I forgot about Lowry. So yeah Kyrie is about the 7th best player out east this season. I don't think you will see much debate from the normal posters

is there a guy youd rather have with the ball down 1 with 5 seconds left? I sure wouldnt...or down 2, or with the game tied. He leads the league in overtime scoring since he entered the league.

I think a case could be made for Durant...and maybe even IT with how he has been playing....other than that?

no one is better at hitting that big shot then Kyrie has been since he has entered the league.
You sound a lot like Skip Bayless.

arent you the guy that said his shot was starting to go?

Are you that lame?

His shot had tailed of dramatically.
It is what it was.
That's not opinion, it was fact.

Have I EVER questioned James work ethic?
I'm sure he put the time in to correct it.

was- FACt, or was it his adjustment to a new team, new system, new coach(es).

his efficiency is back up to elite levels this year. looks like this was another thing you were wrong on.

well as a 19 year old rail thin rookie on a terrible team he shot 46.9%/39.9%/87.2% and his best scoring teammates were Antwan Jamison and Andy Varejao- so i think that pretty much takes a big ole squat and shits on your argument.

And alot of it was big garbage time stats.

Forget then.
Whats Cavs record the last 3 seasons when Kyrie plays without James?

Laughable.
He had a poor shooting % because he missed shots.
The system didnt shoot, he did.

Why i cant take that seriously-

Cavs are 7-0 vs. the Raptors/Wiz/Celtics this year. Just watched Kyrie rip the Wizards heart out on their home court by scoring the most points anyone has scored in the East in overtime this season to end their 17 game home win streak.

Those guys arent as good as Kyrie is when the going gets tough. Its just a fact. Kyrie's twirling turn around jumper in Klay's face, and his domination of the Wizards in overtime when LeBron was on the bench.

those are the 2 biggest Cavs wins this year thus far if you ask me. And both were because Kyrie is a more special player than any of those guys.

in the 7 wins and 0 losses against the Cavs biggest eastern conference "competition" Kyrie is avergaing 27, 6 and 4....raises his game against the best competition.

no way the Cavs would ever trade Kyrie for any of those guys.

With the Wizards playing really well lately and the Raptors adding Ibaka, I think things might be tightening up in the Eastern Conference this season. Love's injury hurts Cleveland and they already had no depth. I don't really see Boston as a viable threat to Cleveland -- but they're well-coached and well-coached teams always seem to give Lebron's teams trouble.

If a team like Indiana could get hot going into the playoffs, we could see some of the best Eastern Conference matchups in a while.

what does that have to do with 50/40/90?

its funny how you squirm into some other bullshit when your nonsense is laid out for all to see.

Now if you want to talk adjustments etc, the lets compare the 11-30 Heat to the 14-2 since Heat.

its probably tightening up---- but the cavs are 7-0 against the Raptors, Celtics and Wizards- and the Cavs dont even take the regular season as seriously as they do the playoffs- obviously.

if the Raptors/Celtics/Wiz cant even get A game during the regular season- what happens when LeBron is going full-go and has rest between every game and can exert himself on both sides of the court

its gonna be a blood bath just as it has been the last 2 seasons in the East.

Who cares if they're 7-0 against those teams? Last I checked those other teams do not have a Lebron James or Kevin Love on their roster. Bringing up team record when we're talking about individuals is so damn irrelevant.

Once again, clutch player never will equal better player.

How close is Kyrie to 50/40/90? He's never come close to hitting 50% of his FGs. He's hit 40% of 3s only once in his career and his career average is .380, which is good, but it's not 40%. And he's never hit 90% of his free throws.

Having seasons where he reaches those numbers is attainable, but it's not a foregone conclusion. On top of that, I'm not sure why it matters. Completely arbitrary and meaningless to heap praise on a 50/40/90 season.

You're probably right, but last season wasn't a complete blood bath. Toronto pushed them a little (although games 5 and 6 were blowouts.) I think the 2nd round will be tougher this year than last year for the Cavaliers. Atlanta got steamrolled. But I think whoever they face in round 2 this season will be a better matchup. Will they unseat the Cavaliers? Probably not. But, if they face off in the playoffs, I don't think Cleveland will sweep Toronto, Washington, Boston, or even Indiana.

Exactly. For a jump shooter like him, 50% shooting will be extremely tough to accomplish.

Kyrie has never shot better than 46% in his career. Only shot 40% from 3 once and this is the first year where he is shooting 90% from the line.

Love your list.

Only deviation I would make would be leaving Kyrie alone in 5th place.

If Derozan was a better shooter, maybe.

I think a healthy Beal will surpass him in a year or two.

Plus, it was James who carried the Cavs plus hit the miracle shot vs Wiz last game.
Kyrie did dominate OT, but we've been over that.
