how many "big men" in the league do you think could do what Tristan does in that video as well as Tristan?
id put Draymond on that list, Steve Adams maybe, Giannis if you count him as a "big"
nerleans noel and biyombo are kind of like that but not as good at it...maybe capela.

TT is in the perfect situation for him.
If he was on many other teams (Knicks, Magic, Kings, etc) -- he could end up looking below average.

Cousins hit a +1 against him and he really didn't like the call.

Yeah that was really, really stupid.

First tech, fine. But two, is just unprofessional. Curry needs to be the one to step up and tell him to chill.

That's how I feel about Cousins, those 2 aren't that different in the attitudes and emotion shown. Their games are different obviously(green more of a defensive player and demarcus more offensive) and being on a loaded team probably helps Green control his temper better. I wonder if Cousins would get T'd up as much if he was on a really good-great team.

All role players are beneficiaries of their environments with great teams. Average shooter with an average look at the basket is going to be just that. Average shooter with clean open looks because your star demands a double, makes your job significantly easier. Just the way it works.

I would argue no for a couple reason:

1) Winning helps alleviate a lot of problems.
2) He'd have a better perception as a "competitor". Kind of the same way Russ gets away with a lot of his stuff. When you're losing and arguing, you just come across as whiney.
3) If he had other veteran leadership there to calm him down or other star players to help take some of his burden, he wouldn't feel on an island to produce. Who's going to calm him down on this team? Matt Barnes?

Draymond's rep though is slowly encroaching on Boogie territory. Earlier in the year he was getting T'd up for no reason. Yesterday's was clearly deserved and earned.

I'm just going to take @trojanfan12's advice with Wiggy. When it comes to the Cavs, Lakers and Heat you're not going to get an unbiased opinion. His argument has more holes then swiss cheese or Kyle Shanahan's play calling (which ever is your preference).

Its the most basic of concepts, but still over @WiggyRuss head.

I agree. He'd have to get better with refs but like you mentioned he'd have better leadership than Rondo and Matt f'ing Barnes. I don't like his angry outbursts, but knowing the team I'm on has consistently swung and missed on lottery picks and the best player they drafted since I got there was traded away for nothing(and now in the MVP race) would frustrate the hell out of me. I still think he'd have double digit T's, but would probably avoid the 16 that got him suspended.

There's a small part of me that also thinks that Draymond overcompensates for the lack of emotion from his teammates, which gets him in trouble too. It's no secret that he's been touted as the "heartbeat" of this team and I think some of that gets him in some situations that he should be.

For example the "arguments" with KD, were in fact manufactured by Draymond to try and light a fire under him. There will be games where Draymond will act out too in order to get his lethargic teammates fired up. He goes after everyone on the team equally.

I wonder if his ejection last night was him trying to fire up his teammates after playing a close first half with the Kings, and if that was the plan it sure as hell worked. Steph rarely gets angry, KD and Klay probably a little bit more than Steph but not too much, and then Green brings most of the anger. The Kings players don't show off a lot of emotion either, so that could be one reason Cousins gets overly emotional and angry, but it still doesn't excuse the tech total and not hustling back because you wanna complain about a missed call.

Ringer has an article today:

The Hidden Figures Behind the Heat’s Improbable Playoff Push
Some of the luster has worn off after Miami’s hot streak, but the team has built a solid foundation for success, and it’s largely due to a few names you’ve never heard before

Rodney McGruder
No player encapsulates Miami’s rise more than McGruder, whose ability to come up with loose balls has his teammates calling him “The Scavenger.”
...
McGruder took over as the starting small forward when Winslow went down on New Year’s Eve, which wound up being one of the turning points for the Heat. McGruder isn’t nearly as talented as Winslow, a former lottery pick, but he’s a much better outside shooter, which opens up the floor for Dragic, Waiters, and Whiteside.

Willie Reed
.. he has become one of the best backup centers in the NBA. He plays his role to perfection in Miami, setting solid screens and rolling hard to the rim on offense, and protecting the rim and sealing off the paint on defense.

At 6-foot-11 and 245 pounds with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Reed has prototypical size for a center, with the athleticism to play above the rim and the quickness to slide his feet and cut off dribble penetration. ..

James Johnson
If Reed and McGruder have succeeded by channeling their games to fit defined roles within the team concept, Johnson is the opposite, expanding his game to encompass every conceivable role in Miami. Talent has never been the issue for Johnson, a former first-round pick who has played for five teams in eight NBA seasons. Winning the trust of his coaching staff has.

@WiggyRuss

Yes or No answer.

Are U.D., Birdman and/or Joelle Anthony championship caliber C's?

all those guys blow....well Birdman was decent/solid in his prime.

Miami for the most part- especially in LeBrons last year- did a shit job of putting guys beyond their Big 3 on the roster.

another reason LEBron high tailed it out of town.
