Just to add to 43's post above, Wideman's offensive resurgence this season is largely due to having the steady Kris Russell covering his butt and allowing Dennis to take more chances. I would also add that Russell has a great deal of respect in the Flames dressing room which is probably the reason he wears an 'A' on his jersey.

I think he's earned it on merit, but I think Burke was butchered one afternoon, saw Russell's name on a depth chart, mistook him for Kurt Russell and demanded that he be given a letter for "his strong performance in Leaving Las Vegas".

this zidlicky trade reminds me of the one in 2008 with brad stuart when they won the cup. under the radar kind of trade but fills their most glaring need
