Im really starting to like him. I have him jumped over strong. His 4.27 closed the deal. Plus he has good hands.

I have Perriman and Strong ranked pretty much the same. Perriman needs to work on his route running plus his hands arent that good. When I was watching NFL Network the other day they said he dropped something like 14% of passes thrown his way his senior year. Plus he double catches a lot of passes which shows his hands arent that good. He is starting to sound a lot like Coates to me.

Might as well post this one here too...

It's that time of year again! The tape has been watched; the combine numbers are in. Pro' day has distracted & confused people who fall for pro' day times...

What's your list of plan A, B, C, D and so on in order of what you'd want to happen w/ the first-round pick? Time to throw down some option. Here are mine:

A. Trade up for Leonard Williams (yes I know it would cost a fortune; worth it though).
B. Trade down to the late first: draft Shane Ray (go big or go home).
C. Trade out of the 1st completely; target Marcus Peters, Kevin Johnson, Devin Smith, DGB or Devin Funchess depending on what pick & who's there (in that order). Pick up extra 1st in 2016.
D. Trade down to the late first: draft Todd Gurley or Eddie Goldman (in that order).

I am sure you saw this already but your desire to move down and draft Shane Ray may not be needed. He may fall further because of this:

WRs and who is the best at what

The wide receiver who is best at ...
Breakaway speed: Breshad Perriman, UCF -- Perriman isn't solely on this list because he ran a 4.24 40-yard dash at his pro day -- but it was taken into consideration. He averaged 19.5 yards per reception in his career, including 33.3 yards per touchdown, meaning he was able to convert his speed into big plays.
Ball skills: DeVante Parker, Louisville -- Parker has the lowest career drop percentage (3.2 percent) of any of the top 15 wide receiver prospects. The stats also show he is among the best in the class at tracking deep balls; he ranked among the top 10 in the nation in completions of 20 yards or longer last season despite missing seven games with an injury.
Big-play ability: Devin Smith, Ohio State -- As was showcased throughout the College Football Playoff, Smith was the best deep receiver in college football last season. He led the nation in receptions (17) and touchdowns (10) on passes thrown 20 yards or longer and excelled with multiple quarterbacks throwing him the ball.
Competitiveness: Amari Cooper, Alabama -- It's hard to define a stat for competitiveness, but there is no doubt that Cooper was a gamer. In the biggest games he showed up, averaging 127.4 receiving yards in the eight Iron Bowls, SEC Championships and bowl games in his career. Another measure of competitiveness is the ability to gain tough yards, and no draft-eligible prospect gained more yards after the catch than Cooper last season.

Top Needs McShay
Top needs: ILB, WR, 3-4 DE, OL, CB
Inside linebacker is a weak spot following the retirements of Chris Borland and Patrick Willis, and even if NaVorro Bowman is able to stay fully healthy this season, the Niners need to get a starter at the position out of this draft. They signed Torrey Smith as a vertical receiver this offseason, and Anquan Boldin, Bruce Ellington and Jerome Simpson add depth, but they need to find a long-term starter opposite Smith. Justin Smith hasn't yet reached a decision on whether he will retire, but whether he does or not, the Niners need depth at 3-4 defensive end. Darnell Dockett signed in the offseason, but he will be 34 years old this season and is coming off a missed 2014 campaign due to a torn ACL. They could use an upgrade at corner, where starters Tramaine Brock, Shareece Wright and Jimmie Ward make an average group. The offensive line was inconsistent last season as it dealt with injuries, and Mike Iupati left in free agency. They need to add depth, at a minimum, and possibly a starter.

That basically supports this story about the Niners taking Armstead if he is there at 15:

My Final Pick:
-If we stay at 15 we pick Peters or IF waynes falls. We then go WR in the 2nd rd.
-If we move up we take one of the Big 3 WRs and then a CB in Rd 2
-If we trade back we take CB and then WR in Rd 2.

Lets go 49ers. Just don't take Armstead.

LOL, I scarcely look at the mocks and don't take them seriously. So far I don't think the mocks have hit one Baalke pick yet. Mock drafts are media guys playing armchair GM. If they are wrong from picks 1 thru 14, that can also effect how pick 15 plays out. Lets see how close they are this year overall on the 1st round.

Armstead has bust stamped all over him as a 1st round pick. I don't like drafting guys in the 1st that didn't have a big impact in college. It bothers me even more with lineman because when you're that physically gifted in college you should be dominating. It won't get easier in the pro's for a lineman when everyone is a physical freak in the trenches.

I'd go Trae Waynes if he falls or trade back some for Kevin Johnson. Then look to grab one of the ILB in round 2 like Anthony. I don't think we're hurting on the defensive line as badly as the experts do. We've drafted well there and have guys that hopefully are ready to step up. We have #H@! at inside linebacker and corner though. It's not a very deep class at either position but with where we are picking their is value for both.

Then again I have no issues taking a WR at 15 either as I do think one of the top 3 is still on the board.

I'm actually all for trading back this year as it's likely Todd Gurley might be on the board with the Texans picking after us. You'd think around that point someone might be willing to deal to jump ahead of them. Also a big possibility that a top 3 WR is there or one of the better defensive lineman not named Armstead. This draft looks to have a lot of Round 2 and 3 value so moving back and grabbing extra picks in those rounds would be ideal.

Currently I think the 9ers might trade up for Parker with the Vikes or may stay for Peters .

I don't think we would take Peters at 15, but with our 2nd round pick if he falls. I think the teams recent off-field problems will keep Baalke away from taking a player like Peters or even DGB early. I like both as players but the organization my feel like it needs to clean it's act up before taking risk on guys like that, but 2nd and 3rd round all bets are off if guys like them fall.

I mean what if a guy like Peters comes in and going into training camp a story break that Peters and Aldon were arrested for starting a fight at a party where drugs were found? We'd be screwed. I say Baalke if he goes Defense early is looking for a talented kid with a good head on his shoulders that can be a leader. The D will need more guys like that with Willis and possibly Justin Smith now gone. When you have strong leaders in your locker room you can take chances on guys with character concerns. I'm not sure we have those leaders any more.
