I like Collins but as a 2nd round pick. He prolly wont make it to us but I would be down to trade back into the late 1st round to get him.

just a comment on Coates..........yesterday I read Coates has shaky hands, otherwise he has all the measurables. We shouldn't draft a player with shaky hands. I know someone can cite an exception where it worked out, but that would be just it....an exception.

In the NFL, every catch is big.
I am not as big a Coates fan as others because his hand but I feel like people are sleeping on strong and I would be fine if he was our pick at 15.

I like Strong also. He has great hands, a nice vertical and pretty good speed. If White, Waynes, Cooper, Parker are all drafted before we pick at 15 I would be fine with Strong or DGB. Strong's NFL comparisons have been all over the board tho. I have heard Larry Fitz, Dwayne Bowe and Marques Colston.

I wouldn't force a pick at OL, but if the value is there, we need a swing tackle and depth on the interior. Martin was something of a disaster at RT last year.
I agree but in what round makes a big difference not including FA!! Go 49ers!!

Four of these guys are projecting Arik Armtead, DE, Oregon. He certainly seems to have the measurables, but does he have the production on tape?

Since we use the 3-4, I'd think we need "shorter, smallish DT's" at DE, more so than a TALL DE? Will he hold up against the run, the double teams?

Then of course.....there appears to be quality WR's and a CB, over DE? I am certainly not ruling him out, but just not seeing Armstead at 15th?

IMO the first pick needs to be at WR. White may fall and DGB will most likely be there. The 9ers need a WR that might be able to stretch the field as well as trying to catch Kap's crappy throws. Bottom line is that the 9ers need some sort of offensive plan here.

I would have DGB over strong but strong would be next in line. I also like the CB from Wash that got kicked off the team.

On the left is the pick number. On the right, it's the Walter Draft Pick Value.
None of the comp picks, of course

I don't mind him but he is either going to be Boom or Bust. I don't see any in between.

So no problem or concerns with off the field stuff? At all?

There two guys are clearly talented, but no amount of talent is good should they be on the bench, suspended, distracted, etc.

Armstead was a Basketball player at UO before football! Big and athletic?! Go 49ers!!

The only vet WR I would keep on the roster is Boldin, and Patton and Ellington because they are still on their rookie contracts.

Draft DGB.

If Funchess falls I would draft him too as a hybrid WR/TE Delanie Walker type, or a smaller speed receiver (but we kind of have that in Ellington)

If he falls to the 2nd yes pick him up as that back up TE/WR hybrid. I hate Mich but he would be a good player to add

Post-combine, I'm loving Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon as a replacement for Justin Smith or Ereck Flowers, OT/OG, Miami to replace Mike Iupati.
