Yeah we have no shot. Looks like he will get drafted ahead of Cooper. I really want the 49ers to move up to 9 so they can have options. Got to move ahead of Minn and Rams and Browns. All 3 might draft WRs. Giants need to add picks because they need more then 1 player. I mean if White goes before Cooper, Cooper might be there at 9 then.
Players I want to see with the 1st pick is, White, Cooper, Parker, DGB, Waynes, Peters, Armstead, Bealsey or Brown. I like strong but would move back for him. Same for CB Williams. Some players I like in the 2nd rd move up would be Dorsett, Jones, Bennett, Yeldon and Darby. If Funchess falls to the 2nd he would be a nice player to pick who can be that pass catching TE for us.

yeah, even if we don't go WR round 1, we could still get a good prospect round 2. we'll lose a little bit in overall talent, but it meant we got better value at another position. Maybe one of your round 1 guys drop?

Trae Waynes or one of the pass rushers MIGHT be better value?

Owamagbe Odighizuwa from UCLA he is 6'3 1/2 267 and in the 40 yard dash he ran a 4.64. I really liked him before today and now seeing him just makes me want him more. He has a 2nd round grade on him and if we decide to go WR in the 1st we might be able to get this guy in the 2nd. Also they compared him to Robert Quinn DE for the Rams.

If White, Cooper, and Parker are all gone by the time we draft I'd like to get Waynes if he's around. Free agency will tell us how that plays out. With a deep market for corners we should be able to get back one of Culliver and Cox, but if some how we get both back I see us skipping drafting a corner early.

Seeing what happens with Brooks and Skuta will tell us how early we could be looking for pass rushers too.

I think Jalen Strong could fall to the 2nd round and he's not a bad consolation prize. Marcus Peters could be a could fall back option at corner too if he falls to the 2nd and maybe even the third as well. The team would have to look hard at his off field issues though.

There's a possibility this draft could fall perfectly for us if Baalke plays it right and other teams fall in love with the wrong guys and he can blunt some of the front office criticism for awhile if he does.

Just an example of why we MIGHT draft another position round 1. If....IF he has more value than a WR, not a problem for me. I'd draft an every down OLB with pass rush skills, even with Aldon and Aaron on board. Things change fast in the NFL, so we can't assume Aldon and Lynch are quality starters for the next five years.

Clemson OLB-DE Vic Beasley

Eyes were opened when Beasley, whom NFL people estimated played last season in the 220-to-225-pound range this past fall, arrived in Indy weighing 246 pounds. Would he still be able to run and move in the drills? Uh, yes.

Beasley smoked his 40-yard dash (4.53 seconds, tops among all edge rushers along with Virginia’s Eli Harold), pumped out a stunning 35 reps on the bench, notched a 41-inch vertical and a 10’10” vertical jump and looked more than capable of being a 3-4 outside linebacker at this weight and perhaps even a pass-rush specialist in a 4-3 scheme.

At this point, he’s looking more and more like a first-round pick who could end up in the top 20 when it’s all said and done.

Vic Beasley is a beast but we have no need for him unless we plan on trading Aldon. Say we trade Aldon for cap reasons and we dont wanna pay him a bunch of money cuz of his off the field issues that would make sense. But other than that I dont see it happening.

Aldon has put his house up for sale last week..maybe due to lack of salary last year and locked in profit, but also might indicate uncertainty on his "situation" with his current employer. Given he needs a place to stay it is a bit of an irregularity unless he is downsizing or moving to another property or state. Remember, Texas has no state income tax and if employed there can save 13% by playing there. Not advocating just an observation of tax consequences on which state one plays in effects the bottom line income of all players, especially one who didn't get paid last year. So maybe we should be looking for an Aldon replacement just in case he decides to bolt.

this is looking at the draft to fill only 2015, but I look at drafts over their rookie contracts. So five years for the 1st round pick.

BTW - Not promoting we go away from WR round 1, just saying I won't "panic" if we do. I want the most talent we can draft but we fans will never know this. We just don't know enough of our schemes, and how individual players fit.

I think White and Cooper will go top 10. Raiders will decide between the two and the Rams will pick one. If the Niners choose not to picl a WR in the first, I would love to get Waynes if the Niners do not resign both Cox and Culliver. He's got good size and looks smooth. He also ran a 4.31 in the forty.

from what I'm reading, yeah i could see him becoming our BPA by the 15th pick. So again, I won't be disappointed going CB in round 1.

I would be happy with a DE, CB or WR in the 1st round.

Yeah last year My WR crush was Evans and Beckham Jr and this year is DGB and White. To be honest I like all 4 WRs. White, Cooper, DGB and Parker.
I love me some Jaelen Strong

1st or 2nd round?

I'd love to get Jaelen Strong in the 2nd and I think that's his value, but I'd be nervous that Seattle would pick him up. They need OL and even a DB for depth purposes, but WR is right up there for them.

Yeah Waynes is looking really good same for collins from LSU.

Trade down in 11st then back up into1st
1st or 2nd round?

Do what Baalke does best if DGB and Parker are gone trade down pick up extra picks then back up into 1st and take Strong or Coates before Seattle does.

This sucks cuz my top 2 players after the combine are Kevin White and Trae Waynes. Both will be gone before we draft. Maybe we can trade into the top 10 and still get one of these guys. We will give them our 1st, 3rd and Brooks lol.

just a comment on Coates..........yesterday I read Coates has shaky hands, otherwise he has all the measurables. We shouldn't draft a player with shaky hands. I know someone can cite an exception where it worked out, but that would be just it....an exception.

In the NFL, every catch is big.
