Seems like a reasonable list, however, proper distinctions need to be made as with QB rankings:

Tier 1: Belichick, all alone at the top, sorta like Aaron Rodgers
Tier 2: Carroll, Harb and maybe some other coaches
Tier 3: All the rest

The head coaches at Jacksonville and Atlanta, the DC at Oakland . All are from PC's coaching tree. The new D Coordinator will most likely be a head coach in Tennessee or Chicago in a two years.

They have lost corners opposite sherman every year, Browner, Maxwell, They lost Percy Harvin (and the draft picks he cost) They lost golden tate, they've lost dozens of olineman, they lost the superbowl mvp. etc. etc. etc.

A lot of these losses came after this year...correct? You can't give credit to Carroll for withstanding these losses until we see how they do this year. This is what I mean though...the attrition is starting to pick up. Nobody can say Carroll doesn't deserve a lot of credit, but this is when things will get really tough.

BTW...dozens of OL'men? Hasn't it been pretty consistent with Okung, Sweezy, Carpenter and Unger?

CD, I would back away from the general board. It has turned into one big bitchfest, largely between the same ravens and pats fans, making the same comments over and over.

Yeah, what the hell? Aren't the Ravens and Steeler fans supposed to be the ones having the bitchfest against one another? :lm:

The Broncos have no ammo to for the battle, so yea, they should stay on the "shut up already" board....

To be safe I'm going with John Harbaugh as the best HC in the NFL.

Spoken like a whining Denver fan.

Ironic, considering this thread is about Harbaugh not being above Carroll. Pot meet kettle.

Now, don't you and the pats fans have another dumb circular argument to get into?

That's actually not what this thread is about. It was the reaction to the OP's opinion that turned this thread upside down.

Honest question to the board. Shouldn't you also give PC credit for changing the way the NFL works and thinks? How many times this year during the draft did one of the talking heads say a player is in the mold of a seahawks player, Sherman, browner, maxwell (tall long physical corners) used to be not wanted. Or a big monster in the middle like Bam Bam Kam, or a hybrid D end/tackle like Mike Bennett, or FAST as hell linebackers like all of the hawks? Or how many teams are mimicing the way seattle practices, loose, fast, tough, loud music blaring.

PC has been doing it differently and now the league is trying to catch up, in part by copying him

Taking heads have been saying the same stuff about different teams forever. Have you not heard of the term "It's a copycat league"?

Never heard that. Maybe because I don't live in Seattle?

Actually most of those folks left before last year. Also the OL has been a mess, mostly due to Okung, Carpenter and Unger not being on the field week in and week out. Carpenter wasn't much even when healthy.
