Come on Knicks, I figured you could beat the Jazz at home.

literally fell asleep watching the Cavs v. Brooklyn....

ughhh.....finishing my last class tomorrow - i had a few hours in our "Clinical" class where we needed 90 billable hours total....because i work a lot i was a little short at the end of the semester as were a few other students and still finishing up.....have my FIRST hearing that I am doing by myself tomorrow morning at 9 am for an unemployment administrative hearing....kinda nervous.

...ugh

...wow...Kyrie only plays 21 minutes tonight, LBJ 29, Love 31.....nice to have them get some work in but get some rest too--- Love with 18 and 17....its good they get him more involved after games where they neglect to use him- but lets see him do it vs. a good team where they go throguh some adversity...it seems whenever they have a little adversity LeBron just scraps the team structure and starts doing his own thing and it needs to stop.

strained left oblique for Whiteside- nothing too serious....will probably miss a week or so from what i hear...i know Miami got beat up on- but i like the fact Winslow had 6 assists....

Heat fans- is Luol Deng any good anymore? I saw he had a +- of -27 tonight...not that i put a whole TON of stock in plus minus, but deng at 42% doesnt sound too great...how nice is it for Miami to have a talented young SF like Winslow growing into the position?- that is pretty ideal this year to bring winslow along off the bench and then next year- obviously Deng will be gone- Winslow will be the starting SF at like 3-4 million a year and they will put Deng's salary somewhere else or give it to Whiteside......its so huge having a cheap, controllable, talented piece that allows you to spend your dollars else where.

When you're missing 2 other starters and 2 other bench players, it is pretty serious.

Only thing that saving Miami right now is that outside of Toronto and Cleveland, the rest of the East is pretty much consistently inconsistent as Miami so they're not losing much ground on HCA in round 1. Just need to get healthy ASAP

yah....the Bulls and Hawks taking steps back this year certainly helps. Just about everyone I know really felt like the Wizards and Bucks would be better than they have been too. I have said numerous times that I think the Celtics could be really good and they have underacheived as well.

Like you said- pretty much only Toronto is overacheiving in the East- all though- with the Cavs missing their starting back court for the whole 2 first months of the season i am a little surprised they are leading the East- especially because they have played the least home games in the entire NBA by 2 games.

I doubt they win any games on this road trip.
They struggle to score when healthy.

you guys go to Toronto, Chicago, Brooklyn and Milwaukee----- with the depleted roster itll be tough to get a win in Toronto or Chicago--- but you should be able to pull out one of the two against Brooklyn or Milwaukee...

but damn--- after those 4 road games, you guys come home for Atlanta- and then hit the road again imediately for 3 games against Houston, Dallas and Charlotte- and then come home for 2 games against hte Clips and Spurs....not easy for any team if they were 100% healthy...

Bosh is playing great though- he has to be an all star.

It depends who comes back by Friday. If were without Dragic, Beno, and Hassan for the whole trip then you're right. If we're just missing Hassan and possibly Beno for 2 more games or so, we can win 2 games IMO. This team looks like day and night without Dragic. We can beat Brooklyn, and Milwaukee if Dragic is back along with Wade.

The schedule was known since October.
Totally brutal even if you're 100% healthy.
Heat should have 2-3 more home wins, which would have given them a bit more cushion, but they don't.

No question they fall below the 8 seed, but then easily could climb back up when the schedule becomes favorable again, if they stay healthy.

And, yes, Bosh is deserving of an all star spot.

Bucks match up well against us even when were healthy.

Toronto looks to be pretty legit. IF they could add a good power forward this team could actually be dangerous.

PG- Lowry- playing exceptional- PER of over 23...21pts, 6.4 assists, 5 boards...he has to be an allstar. I think he is playing like a top 5 player in the East right now. 42% shooting isnt great- but not bad when you are taking 7 threes a game.

SG- DeRozan- playing some really good ball. 23 points a night- 44% shooting isnt GREAT..he is a damn good scorer and as far as shooting guards go in the East...there are not many better right now.

C - Valunciunas is playing REALLY REALLY good since he has been back. 54% shooting, 12 pts 9 boards, and some solid defense...

PF- is really weak....if they had a really good PF- damn...but all they have on their depth chart is Scola, Patrick PAtterson and Anthony Bennett.....Biyombo plays there sometime and he has had a decent season but is pretty limited on offense....

SF- not their best position but not bad-- with DeMarre Carrol and Terrence Ross both kinda sharing the position- both solid players though not likely to ever make an all star team.

They have a good pick to trade- they get the lesser of a Knicks or Nuggets pick - so itll probably be a Knicks pick that is near the bottom of the lotto - has some value-.....I will put Toronto as a legitimate concern for the Cavs if they swing a deal for a difference maker at Pf- and seriously- there are guys out there at the PF position to be had.

And really, does it even matter?
Yes, it's nice to make the playoffs, but after watching the Warriors the last couple of games, I know we are light years away from being anything close to contending.

I wish I had the luxury to think that way---- but after a combined 2 playoff appearances between the Indians, Cavs and Browns in the last 5 years- one being an Indians 1 game Wild Card loss, I will thoroughly enjoy whatever playoff's I can get.

Trust me- I was fucking pulling my hair out watching Michigan State embarrasse themselves while OSU beat up on ND and is sending a class of prospects to the NFL that is as good as any that has ever gone to the NFL and mirrors some of those UM classes. Positively infuriating.

NINE players are leaving early at Ohio State
Eli Apple- 2nd-3rd round
Ezekial Elliot- 1st round
Cardale Jones- good question
Joey Bosa- top 3
Von Bell- late 1st early 2nd
Daron Lee- 1st round
Jalin Marshall- WR- probably 2-3 round
Tyvis Powell-S- probably a later pick- between 3-4 round
Michael Thomas- probably a late first rounder- early second rounder

then you have the seniors as well.....

Decker- who will be a top 10 pick probably
Adolphus Washington- easily a 2nd rounder at worst
Braxton Miller- probably 2nd round
Josh Perry- possible first- 2nd

I don't even know if we own this years 1st round pick, but prob not, so might as well hope to make playoffs.., but if we're not near 100% healthy it will be a round 1 loss.

Riley has made some bad choices the last 2 summers.
What he does at the trade deadline, combined with his Whiteside decision and his Wade budget next summer will be interesting to see play out.

And, Buckeyes did blow a golden opportunity.
When they play their best, I think they had the most talent.
