Yup. We're looking forward to the 2017-2018 season. Next year's a complete wash considering we've traded away next year's draft pick.

It bottom 10 protected again, but there's no way to overcome losing 1/3 of your cap space.

Yeah....with just Wade and an improved Winslow, we're going to definitely be a lottery team next season. No doubt about it.

Wade should go somewhere else if it's a situation that will at least give him a probable chance to compete for another/more championships IMO.

Agreed. I'm cool with him bouncing to a legit contender. I'd like his farewell tour to be different then Kobe's in the sense that there's no excitement given that the Lakers are right now not in a position to contend remotely. And it looks like we're heading in that direction.

I say lets roll with Whiteside/Beasley.
It will be our NBA version of Dumb and Dumber.

One thing I would advise you guys is to not assume anything. Until I hear Bosh retires, I will still hold out hope

If he comes back for another 1/2 season, it makes it even worse.
CB is no dummy.
I'm sure he'll get the facts down soon regarding his prognosis and this won't drag on.

He probably will stick it out one more year. But that doesn't do us any favors. This has now become a trend. Blood disorders are very fical and I highly doubt he returns.

Tiago Splitter is out for the season. Makes it harder to trade Horford because that would make Edy Tarvares the starter.

Word is were fucked, because even if he retires we lose his cap money next year.

On the bright side, for at least you, you can now freely rag on us Heat fans , Arison, and the rest of our roster.

I doubt you truly understand how good he is, and how important he was to us.

.it sucks....its just a real shame....take a ton of fun out of it- its just some bad luck...i definitely feel sympathy for Bosh- well at least as much sympathy as you can feel for a multi-multie millionaire....its just a bummer...shit happens.

I wouldnt jump the gun either.....lets see how it plays out....it definitely muddles the trade deadline picture in a huge way though- im sure the Heat is anxious to figure out the full extent to try and do some planning.

what was this minor trade? looks like you guys finally got rid of Anderson's contract for a couple future picks and got Brian Roberts? Burning assets to save cash is less than ideal.

i like Roberts actually as a backup...tough kid.

this is hard to beleive:

The Heat don't have many draft picks left to facilitate such a trade. This deal took care of their only remaining tradable picks before 2021

Roberts will play more than Birdman did. We actually needed another PG with Johnson out for the rest of the season

the Dragic deal ...it was just tough....i mean- obviously the Bosh thing is imposible to plan for--- but even if Bosh was 100% healthy- by the time those picks transfer Bosh and Wade will be either gone or past 35 years old...its dangerous to trade such lightly protected picks so far into the future with a veteran roster...

I have NO CLUE what Riley is thinking. ITs obvious at 70 years old that Riley isnt going to go for a rebuilding- thats not his style anyway...he wants to win....but if Bosh is truly gone - that just makes it really tough....i seriously dont know if it makes them MORE or LESS likely to deal Whiteside...you would THINK less becuase they would need a replacement- but if they dont plan on signing Whiteside it would be better to get a decent young player under contract for him.

basically- i dont envy the next 40 or so hours for Pat Riley.

Riley never valued draft picks, and honestly hasn't been that great with the ones he's had.

Reports ( whatever that means) are that Whiteside wants to stay here.
Only thing that I can think of that might salvage the loss of Bosh would be if Wade agrees to play for next to nothing next year, with the understanding it will be made up to him in '17 when the salary cap makes that huge leap.

well even if you dont use picks- they are pretty important to try and facilitate trades.....but i get what you are saying....all though- 2nd round picks are pretty nice to be able to draft a guy and develop him in your system and get him going...i dunno

ITs just a tough situation....what do you think the HEat should do? They are a win now team that all of a sudden cant win now that have sold off all their future picks...i guess you just gotta put all your eggs in the free agency basket....

I thought hte Pistons kinda stole Tobias Harris - who is getting like 16 a year- but actually LESS in the later years of his deal- which is gonna be a pretty decent looking contract as hes signed from 23-26....i dunno...it was an interesting trade- not sure why no one else was in on Harris at all....
