Oh ok. I didn't realize every post had to get your approval. So it's ok to post things you care about ( like the Aggies), but not when it's about a team you don't care about? Got it. Sorry sir.

Not what I said at all, but you were the ONLY one who posted anything about the Cowboys, I simply reminded you there was a Cowboys thread where that was being discussed and literally everyone else choosing to discuss it was talking about it, you chose to be an ass instead

Had someone reminded me that there was a thread then I would've moved it over, instead I got caught up in the OT conversation

He wasn't standing directly on the plate, but he was close enough that you will get run into if a guy thinks you have the ball.

actually he was partially in the infield and partially out of the batters box, I'm not sure how much farther out Posey was supposed to be.

In reality, Cousins wasn't taking a route to the plate, he was taking a route to Posey. Thoeretically he's supposed to be running at home plate.
Cousins was so left of the plate, the collision threw him on the plate.
There isn't a rule against it, because they've been ignoring the rules of Catchers blocking the plate

I am betting Choo will not make up his mind this year waiting for more teams to get interested.Boras will make him wait it out so he can get more money

Let's say Alfaro is really kicking ass in two years. He comes out at least a foot in front of the plate, (as Johnny Bench teaches) doens't obstruct the runner as he shouldn't and the runner decides that instead of sliding into the plate, he drops his shoulder into our catcher...and Alfaro is gone for a year.

yeah, that's good for everyone.
and by that, I mean, no...it' not. We have plenty of tackling in this country, turn it on. Baseball is obviously a different animal.

oh yeah, I was going to drop the subject. Just surprised that a catcher would be blamed for that play

Well if you believe JD, he is waiting. "I like our team the way it is, I feel like we have a team that contend"

don't know...he could be bluffing
if it's true, what will we be contending for?
lolol

Of course Boras is trying to get more money, that's why Choo didn't sign...and Choo obvioulsly is waiting for more money, which is perfectly fine (no, it completely sucks) and pretty normal.

It's a HUGE gamble, we'll see

How much money are we talking about. Anybody know? I thought it just came down to the length of the contract. Are they even communicating to each other any more?

Boras doesn't care, he'll get 5 easily for the guy regardless....he'll wait until spring if he has to. I'm hoping Choo isn't interested in waiting

What scares me is JD's comments that this team can contend as currently constructed. It's hard for me to have faith in a GM that feels this way, if he's telling the truth. I'm a homer, and even I don't think this team is a playoff team. I'm hoping he knows how important it is for him to get a leadoff hitter, middle of the order bat, or both.

Well he did get a B+ from Olney for the offseason, so what else matters.

I have no idea what JD is doing, it's possible he wants to run this very young unproven team out there.
or he's bluffing, or he makes moves in Jan

The offseason really isn't that much fun
Unless you're a fan of a team that's pretty much ready to go.

Of course he's gonna say that this team can contend

There was disagreement about the length, at one point Sullivan tweeted we offered 7 and quickly tweeted that we hadn't.

Did Terps say 6? I don't think 6 will do it. Boras originally wanted 7, now...it's 8.

Money, no idea...100-110?

Of course he is going to say that. Every statement jd makes is a careful calculation. If he came out and said, "we need choo in a bad way", we'd lose any leverage we had with him.

I get that, but there's also the chance that he actually thinks we're ok where we're at. That's what scares me.

If you honestly think that, you lose any credibility you had. Jd knows our situation and needs better than anybody on these message boards.
