I'd love to talk baseball more on the SportsHoopla, but the Cubs board is next to dead. (under 200 posts in the off season thread)

So it wasn't a jab, I'd call it more a jealousy problem that you have 10k posts.

Speaking of the Cubs have they started renovating Wrigley yet? I tried to make it out there for a game before the first phase of the renovation but I haven't heard anything in a few months. I hope they havent started it.

The Cubs themselves shit the bed. Prior was what? 22 years old I think, the pressure after that was too much for him. Following the Bartman play, then an error I think from Gonzalez at short, and no mound visit from Dusty.

It's the 7th biggest park in seating capacity in the league. So you can average more than Wrigley's capacity, which they did in 2012, and still only be 86.9% full.

A packed house at Wrigley, (standing room only) is going to be anywhere from 39k to maybe 40-41k

Won't lie to you. After watching Catching Hell I wished nothing failure for the Cubs til the end of time. Some of those jackasses in the film really pissed me off.

Chicago is so back room corrupted, that this whole renovation has to go through with the alderman and then with the people who support the alderman (cronies) and then the alderman needs to make sure he and his people are paid.

It's all bullshit, but we're getting closer to getting our renovation

Do you think they'll start before April? I want to see a game there without any of the new upgrades they'll be getting. Have had a few friends go and they say it's really really awesome and as old school as it gets. I want to experience that without the upgrades. May need to make a Chicago trip in April.
