Don't talk favorably of Boras.... The guy is an asshole, double crossing snake, and nobody in MLB looks forward to or enjoys negotiating with him.

He's got premiere clients that teams want to have. He's looking out for the best interest of his clients and he's one of the best at it. Nobody may like negotiating with him but his clients always do end up getting contracts. I still don't get why people have anything against Boras.

Of course they are. I just heard Cano say in an interview that he took less money to play in Seattle. Then he said per year. He said it was more about the years than the money.

The years = more money. I hate when they try to justify what everyone knows. It's all about the money.

Of course and I don't blame him. 65 million is a ton and he's going to a great city and great sports town. And if that means anything to him there is no state income tax in Washington. I don't blame Cano. All of us would have done the same thing.

Does Choo have any reason to want to go back to Cincy? I mean, did his family love it, his ties to any charity, etc? I guess I'm asking, is there and emotional attachment of which I'm unaware?

Thanks

He doesn't have any ties to Cincy other than playing a season there. He does however have ties to the State of Ohio. He's virtually lived there since 2006 due to his time with Cleveland.

Houston is apparently no longer a suitor for Choo (not that they ever really were). It's not the cost but instead the loss of a draft pick which signing him would cause which has them scared off. Looks like it's down to slight chance Reds, slight chance DBacks, and slight chance mystery team. Boras doesn't have the market for his client and that's exactly why he's stalling, hoping that some other desperate team will join the fray and top the Rangers' offer. So far it doesn't look like that is happening.

Yeah, but this isn't great news for the Rangers IMO. Yes, there's the chance that we get him at the price that we want, but there's also the chance that we wait until January and miss out on the remaining players. That's my worst fear is going into next year with the current line-up. It will be a waste of a good rotation....again

AJ Burnett had a really good year this year. Although he's thinking of retiring

Iggy is a great defender, and good in the fast break, but that's about it. That's big in the West though. You guys should be better IMO, even though you don't have him right now.

So he's not a good passer or good rebounder??
