You would rather have Moreland and Choice on the bench than Hellickson in the starting 5? Remember this was based on what Terps said our plain is, which is get Choo and Cruz, and trade for a pitcher.

Hellickson does nothing for me, I'd rather have Choice around to step in for Rios next year

I probably didn't mean to. What I meant is if we are upgrading the pitching staff he should be better than most of the rotation outside of darvish and holland

Lol I have noticed that hambombs likes to compare players on other teams to Rangers. No clue why he does that.

I don't even think he's correct. Holland was better than Jeremy last year, but not even close the 2 years before. Holland has never gotten close to an ERA of 2.95 & 3.1. The thing that scares me about Jeremy is his WHIP has gone up every year.

You didn't?

Are you on drugs?

You are the ONLY person to bring up Holland and said you'd rather have him over Hellickson, when NO ONE else said that

Didn't mean it that way I wrote it wrong see on bottom

Lousy K numbers as well, doesn't bode well for future projections

Well some guys aren't strikeout pitchers. His K/9 are better than Harrison's because Harrison pitches to contact, which I actually prefer.

He's just one that came to mind because TB likes Moreland

Still doesn't jive with what you said, you outside of Darvish & Holland but then say you'd rather have Holland, do you even think or proofread before you hit "submit"?

Hellickson isn't very good, point I'm making, he's had some fluky success in a pitchers park, that's all

If you look at Hellickson's numbers in those 2 good years you'll see that his peripherals indicated a pitcher who's a bottom of the rotation type of guy. He doesn't strike out a lot of guys, had 3 walks per 9 innings and gave up a home run per 9 too. The things that saved him though was his high strand rate and his low BABIP both of which regressed for him last year.

I think we're on the same page with Hellickson, TB is just trying to fleece some sucker for him

I disagree. I think last year was abnormal. Like I said though, he was just one that came to my mind and I think he would round out the back of our rotation

Check his peripherals those seasons. Those low era numbers are a fluke and he's regressing.

Truth probably lies somewhere in between, but he's not worth those 2 guys
