yes he's a good defensive OF'er i don't argue that but offensively he is a liability and the team at present has enough of those already locked into the team with Moreland, Soto, Profar and Martin. we need someone who will also bring some offense.

Beltre isn't going to start, he's a bench player, what don't you get about that?

And sorry we don't have Matt Kemp to be our 4th OFer,

how bout you focus on worrying about the STARTING COF spot, and not some bench player that wouldn't play much anyway, seems to be looking for reasons to complain and be pissy

Seriously, we should be worried about if we get Choo or not, not if our 4th outfielder isn't the best one in the MLB.

Until we get the right pieces, the 4th OF won't matter much.

i was talking about the COF position and also discussing my concern about what happens if Martin continues to struggle and what options the Rangers have if that happens.

don't see it. Choice has more chance of making the ML roster than Beltre unless we are really done and this is what we are going into 2014 with.

Beltre's range/defense is far too superior for him not to be on the roster. (and consequently thrown on the waiver wire)

He'll never clear.... so unless a trade happens between now and Opening Day - he'll be on the roster/bench.


EDIT: I see this was already addressed. Carry on amongst yourselves. Nothing to see here.

Let it play out. " What If" applies to everyone. Why single out Martin? He may go 4 for 4 tomorrow. Borrowing trouble now is a complete waste of energy.
