Early in the process, Astros offered Choo a contract. So they've been in it the whole time apparently. I dont know what they offered though. The only reason I say that is because of all the rumors of "Astros could sign Choo!" Not worried about them. Hopefully, as logical as everyone says choo is, they aren't even in consideration.

It's tough to leave money on the table so it's certainly understandable if indeed Houston made an offer that is very appealing. It could even be a week or two before Choo will want to decide where he signs.

Ya Choo is simliar to greinke in that he's being very methodical. He has all his offers on the table, so I wouldn't expect it to be TOO long. He probably wants to talk it over a little bit with his family. But I fully expect him to come here. All signs point to it. I mean first of all, where else? Second of all, teams already backed out. Third, its already known that he wants to come here. I guess the longer Boras holds out the more likely we are to raise it one year. Boras is the best at what he does for that reason. He doesn't budge and he doesn't let his client budge. He is very patient and, like he did with lohse, will hold out until spring if he has to

Of the major league invites its 40. Minor league I'm not sure because theres several different teams. I think they split the organization up into like 5 teams or something
